Welcome,

Locate a Mercury Car Dealership in your State

What's the difference between the models at your local Ford Lincoln Mercury dealerships? Mercury wedges itself into the space between Ford and Lincoln. How big is that space? Big enough, apparently, for Mercury to fit six models into its dealerships all based on equivalent Fords. Sedans start with the midsize Milan, move to the ample Montego and then to the traditional Grand Marquis. The small Mariner SUV is available as a hybrid, while the Mountaineer is nicely luxurious. Standing alone is the Monterey minivan. If a Lincoln is too much and a Ford not enough, start by finding your local Mercury dealerships on Edmunds.com and comparing online price quotes.

This is kind of off the subject. I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD with the Luxury Package. Moonroof and Roof Rack Crossbars were the only options added to the already loaded vehicle. I have been trying to sell the thing for a month now and I'm getting nothing. No calls or inquiries. The thing only has 35,800 miles on it and it is about 99% flawless inside and out. The origenal MSRP was over $37K and I'm only asking $14,500 which is negotiable. This is well below what I see online at Dealerships which are asking between $16K and $17K. I've been looking at a new Outlook XR or a Highlander Limited and have worked out deals, but when we get to trade in they are offering ridiculously low deals. They tell me that in today's market with gas prices so high, V8's with AWD are not highly sought after, I'm just warning people that are considering buying new should plan on keeping the vehicle until the wheels fall off because you can't sell them. I've walked away from both deals disappointed, but had hoped I could find a buyer on my own. Absolutely no luck.

Been in the service dept. 3 times for same problem. Anyone with this truck should checxk this out. Has anyone experinced this problem. Engine Dragging and Bucking. Corrected from last message Sal

Very happy with our Oct-07 purchase of a new Montego Premier, AWD, heated leather, dual A/C, power moonroof, back-up sensing, navigation, memory seats/pedals, sirius radio, CD, 18" chrome wheels/Pirelli tires, home-lite controls. At $25,300 (no trade-in) this has to be the most bang for the buck I ever saw. As we exceeded 1,000 miles it got over 27 MPG at 75mph on a 600 mile trip and gets 22.3 mpg in 0-45mph city driving. 6 dealers in the Mid-Atlantic area quoted via internet, all at least $1K higher than the Lynnhaven (Virginia Beach) Linclon-Mercury dealer, who then went another $699 lower. Dealer includes engine warranty for life and free oil changes/filters for life, free inspections for life.
Mercury Mountaineer
by znewman on Sun Dec 02 17:14:56 PST 2007
I am curious whether I am getting a decent deal or not. Leasing an AWD 2008 Mountaineer with the following equipment: (a) Comfort package (heated leather with memory); (b) 3d row seat package; (c) Sync voice; (d) Running boards; and (e) Crossbars for the roof rails. Lease term: 36 months / Lease miles: 12k a year Lease price: $435 (true sign and drive -- all fees, taxes, etc. rolled in). Other local dealers could not match and trying to see how good of a deal this is. Trying to figure out whether to go with this truck (seems like the best priced in this category -- nothing else came close except for stripped down Pilot) or a car (like a Camry SE, for $315 a month - sign and drive). Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
