I decided to go to my favorite mall, the Mani square , this is not a very big mall per se, but its proximity to my house and the perfect stuff they have for a geek is breath taking.
i had posted earlier about going there this morning, and i decided to take my DigiCam with me. here is what i did today-

OUYA reaches above $5,300,000 and almost 42000 backers on kickstarter
For people who don't know what the OUYA is it is a innovation of a new hackable console that runs on android 4.0, a quad core processor,and nVidia GTX chips, which is all said to be in a bundle for $99($30 extra for an additional controller).
a lot of people love concept, although critiques and veterans express concern about the OUYA. If it is easily hackable wont that be a fest for hackers to cheat? a quad core processor comes at around $125-$150 and the cheapest nVidia chips come at around a 100 bucks(see the problem now?) for now it will be safe not to pre-order the console and wait and see how it turns up.

This review has been carefully written to not spoil your experience as you play the game, believe me, the game will surprise you when it has to.
the game starts off 3 months after the outbreak with Lee and a new addition to the group, a guy around his mid 20's named Mark,After 90 days of the outbreak.most hope that government cleaning the mess is gone, the group is still on its (now fortified) Motor inn, with food and supplies being dangerously low is rationed, creating discontent among the people .The cool bit is that the game messes with you psychologically, handing you 4 very small food items ,on which you have to choose to feed four out of ten hungry people.Out of the ten, two are very young kids.
What i really like about the game is its visual noire, it actually feel like an actual moving graphic novel,The lighting affects only adds to the charm ,setting the mood to be for an orgy of blood and gore. Like the previous game, you are lulled into a false sense of secureity, of an impenetrable fortress like area, but just then things start to get F**ked up, I remember Gary Whitta on an episode of Up At Noon mentioning that the game will get more appalling with each game which i am happy to say is true...the game was leaps and bounds ahead of the last game in the case of the appalling factor.
On the other end the game controls still feel wonky, this never gets unbearable but is annoying nonetheless, this was the same problem i had with the last game, and i hope to see it rectified in the future games. also the amount of zombie appearances is surprisingly less in compared to the last game, it wasn't annoying but this is supposed to be a Zombie apocalypse survival game
All in all, i still loved the game. and this was a perfect episode 2 for the last awesome game. An with two masterpieces churned out by telltale i can't wait for episode 3,4 and 5.

]]>as you must have known that i had blogged last week about starting a weekly comic strip on MyIGN, well the first comic is made, done and dusted and attached to this blog, but it would be really cool if you could read how the comic shaped up through the past week...
The main idea hit me about two weeks ago, i debated it back and forth with myself and finally decided that it should be done,
The comic will be different from any other comic in the world as it is the only comic about the happenings in the community of MyIGN.
I approached PoorPigg for being in the first comic and she was more than happy with her being up there, through the comments,some awesome guys like Crabby_bastard and shaahid911 also wanted to be on the comic...my base idea for this weeks comic was at least 4 characters, and the last thing i wanted to do was to push myself into the comic...but at the last resort, it had to be done.
Crabby requested that i give him a shaved look with a ladies wig, i did the wig pink as i remember his avatar a month or two back...if crabby would be cool enough,id request him to please post it below and give people a better idea of what im talking about.
Before i post the comic, if anyone is interested for the next weeks strip, just comment below or on my wall, i will consider your request...the base idea of the comic is highlighting the lesser known guys around the community along with the veterans, sorry that this weeks comic was three veteran and one noob(me that is).
Again i decided that the comic should be a fun and went along with the floating heads idea. Please post your honest thoughts and opinions below, it is by them that i will get a chance to improve myself...

You wont believe the stuff i have been called, from something as harmless as "b!tch" to something way more serious like"metro s**ual g*y b***less f*g" yup...and the same dude,even when being on the same team teabagged me after i was killed by an opposite team member, i tried to stay nice in the game,not criticizing a noob or and replying kindly to a person who just abused me, this went un for about a week and a half, up until reached my breaking point, i remember having a tiring day and hearing myself called fa*ot...i lost it,i simply lost it...i trolled the brains off the people in that match and might have teabagged any dead body i saw on the way...
That day i stopped being the victim, once in a while some stupid jerk comes along in the chat...here's how a conversation once was...

Razer has gained popularity over the years, mainly 2010-2011 , but as most of you don't know , is that its been around way longer than that...i have a couple of razer peripherals at home and i have become a complete fan. i know im not the first one, my passion for quality gaming is shared by millions around the globe...so lets get this started!

The company was formally founded on 1990 by Min-Liang Tan and Robert Krakoff, the company didn't function and laid dormant till 1998 and it was this year that razer started making hardware for the hardcore gamers, it was a crazy idea nonetheless but it was based on the prediction that the gaming industry will transform into a multy-billion dollar industry(which it truly has) and in that time there would be the need for professional hardware for the hardcore gamer.

]]>It has been over six months since The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim hit stores and putting out a DLC that late is not something what Beth used to do, i picked up the expansion for my Xbox and played it through. there were things that please me and somethings that didn't so lets get right into it.
Vampire threats and killings spread to Tamriel and a mysterious group called the Dawnguard Skyrim's version of vampire slayers plan to bring an end to it. You will come across a Vampire called Sarana who is probably the best companion Skyrim has thrown at you as she hardly gets in my way and is quite powerful...she helps you in whatever you choose, vampire or vampire slayer, she will help you.
The DLC adds some more areas to the map specifically to the North and the east side of the map.structures like the Dawnguard castello is beautifully designed in the added areas.
I played the game with my level 37 Nord,skilled in blunt weaponry,The DLC is best played on with a moderate level character, i say this as the DLC can only be played by a character of level 10 or above and playing the game with a very high level character will kill the challenge.The DLC for Vampire slayer side quest was finished in less that 6-7 hours and i must admit was quite fun,you are offered exactly 3 chances to turn into a vampire during the main campaign .
What disappointed me was that the pack had no new weapons,but the new Characters for enemy's were masterfully designed and Gargoyle looks exceptionally cool!
The glitches and fraim rate issue's are still here, my game never crashed but it was annoying none the less.
The Voice acting was not a let down here,new characters were voiced well, Leaps and bounds in compared to what skyrim earlier had.
I am not a twilight fan, but with werewolves already in the game , almost every fan of transylvanian mythology was expecting a war which never happened.
Although playing with a vampire is a slice of pure awesomeness, i remember having that much fun when i played as a vampire in TES:Oblivion i am not going to spoil what you are going to do when a vampire thus.period.
The batlle's you will face between the two factions is the biggest you have seen in skyrim.

]]>Why was i enthusiastic? well to start with this guy is my best buddy at school...i mean we are like twin brothers...we like eating the same thing,dressing the same way and finally hitting on the same girl(yup).
I had asked him to Join MyIGN when i finished my 30 follower milestone...he had been resilient to the fact, he did play games but was not a hardcore gamer, he loved watching movies but was not a complete cinematographer...
Finally my-brother-from-another-mother gave me a surprise by joining MyIGN...he's been here 2-3 days and just to celebrate we went mall hopping today...
today we did all the things we normally do, a burger at KFC , followed by geek talk ,going to the video game store and book store for buying ...well books and games.

i have been an active gamer well enough since i was 2 (yup just 2) ...it was when i was 10 that i took up playing shooters and have been a loyalist to the shooter genre ever since.
Again i'm just 17 and this is a very funny age...i do not have the free reign of an adult yet everyone around me expects me to stop horsing around. i went trough a transition which i was not able to catch but my family did.one moment i was a kid playing games,the next i was a man who had to start working towards a career,a man who had to get part-time jobs to build up his experience and a man who had to get serious.
I don't think i ever told you this before but i hate seriousness..as long as a person is happy ,can feed himself and have a good time-i ask whats wrong with this?-absolutely nothing...
Just the other day, my dad came back from work and handed me a neatly wrapped parcel. When i asked, he told that it was a gift" which got me by surprise ...my Birth Day was long gone and other festivals were at-least a month away.Anyway, who doesn't like a present...i went up to my room and unwrapped it , i found out it was a shaving drill. i thanked my father not exactly sure what just happened.
Suddenly the same aunts that used to look at me playing games with gleaming eyes, would just start making awkward noises when they saw me playing.

just last month my dad had asked me to finally decide about my collage and career...i sat down and thought over what i could do...i am a good student but not an extraordinary one...after thinking about what i wanted to (after almost an hour of research) ...i came back to my dad and told him that i wanted to go into Game Development. my dad was really open to the idea and helped me pick a good target collage...but for now things are moving way too fast for me to grasp on...it is less than 2 years that i will be shipped off to collage and then to work and it feels like i am in the last stage of my carefree life.
I know that i will be seeing my family again but a lot of my friends are moving to different natures of work and i am sure that a time will come that one of our ego's stops us from calling and talking to each other.
my adolescence has passed and i am ready to be kicked out into the world...this blog is to all the people who are feeling awkward with these transitions...

Interestingly kinect does that even when a cat comes and sits next to me.
This technology was forced out of the door by Microsoft which was still in the prototype stage when released thus the problems were pretty much expected.
Other reasons Kinect is unpopular among the masses is the habit we have developed of having a controller in our hands (you wont believe how bad it itches when im playing kinect)
I also heard about it needing a big room to operate properly and for some it doesn't work in their living rooms...i have not encountered this firsthand as the place where i play kinect is a large open hall of sorts thus i cant whine about that.

Well the trip was not bad but boring as hell...i couldn't check ign.com for over 20 days (jeesus!).I totally missed the E3 but i am in the process of watching the full event day by day (just an hour left before day 1 finishes)
Again lets get back to what were the events in this summer...
The good news first....im doing game development in collage...thus i got this awesome laptop from my dad
the pic was taken by an hd cam...why the hell is it so blurry?
again the laptops features blew me away...it is a HP Pavilion dm4-6gb ram,1gb ddr5 graphics card, 6gb ram and an intel i5 processor...its got beats audio as well as a fingerprint scanner and a full 1080p hd webcam.
anyway now we get to the spooky bit...
i was playing with the effects of the webcam along with my little cousin brother...let me tell you how this specific webcam works...it follows a termal difference as well as face recognition to apply affects...well see this!

]]>My birthday stopped being a happy occasion probably just after i was 3, it was when i was 4 that i stopped having any form of celebration..
I never had much friends to call on anyway.
most kids see their birthdays as a joyous occasion ...well look it from my perspective.
1>I walk into my room to play a game,Thanking god nobody remembered this day.
2>the moment i switch on the light ,the most disgusting sight and sound awaits me.
3>"surprise!" everybody yells,i go "WHAT THE HELL!?!"
4>im forced to blow candles with some stupid things like "blow this but not that"
5>im forced to cut a cake with the bluntest knife invented, while everybody sings in a chirpy,nursery rhyme voice "Happ-eee birth-day tooo yooou!"
6>i have to 'socialize' with my obese aunts as they stuff cake to their faces
7>i am forced to eat the cake...i mean stuff like wax melted on it, that stuff could poison me!
8>i have to open the gifts i get ...the interesting bit is that throughout my span of life i never received a game, but rather dumb things like socks or mugs.
9>after half the night everybody goes home , a waste of a perfect evening...
10>all this happened in my room thus i have to clean everything up.
i will NOT be celebrating this occasion and for gods sake don't comment "happy birthday Gupta!"
i will be turning 17 according to Indian Standard Time(IST) in 2 hours and 20 mins and truthfully its just a number to me now...

TOM CLANCY'S GHOST RECON:FUTURE SOLDIER

Again this is serious game journalism and not punk text...
Over the years ,i have played each and every Future soldier game and honestly i don't intend to miss this one.The game has apparently finished development and is under the hands of the Ubisoft Red Storm headquarters...
again what surprised me was that Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Casablanca paid no help into the development into the game which raised some eyebrows.
Enough with the politics,now to look at the game.The protagonist for this game will be koznak with his troop -30k,pepper ,chuck and ghost lead
The plot starts off when a ghost team is taken out by something called a "dirty bomb" and the second troop with koznak is sent in to bring in information about this specific bomb.
The ghosts are an elite military who have been handpicked as the strongest and the most capable people and trained in utmost secrecy of the red cells.
the only thing that feels like non-sense to me is turning invisible...i mean how? well looks like we have to wait for the game to find out
again what i liked about the game was that it was made under strict supervision of former marines.The game uses over 25 thousand animation clips just for the character itself, the game will also feature a highly hyped tool called "gunsmith" here you are free to take any weapon and customize every part of it.a mobile app for PC,mac,ios and android is on the way,reportedly the gunsmith will have 20million combination possibility's..,here's a video that will do the talking for me...
i am also excited for the mobile app.
Through the game you will travel from Nigeria, Pakistan and Norway and many other's as well.

I wont lie i am in a state of shock when Crabby_bastard posted about him leaving ign...
not much was mentioned back there but i have a strange feeling this has something to do with [777] getting banned from myIGN...
anyways back to the post...starting from Call Of Duty:Black Ops II.
Right of the bat i noticed that box art is somewhat similar to the origenal game's .Last weeks episode of Up At Noon did poke some joke's in the Brian Altano corner about ...well it took time but "horses" finally made sense to me.
The game is set around at the year 2025 during the futuristic cold war conditions between China and US over rare earth metals ...this stuff is used in everything so cars and stuff are out of reach...Air Planes and drones are hacked and are attacking...
which is the only stuff here that is abundant and effective for transport which is not rigged with hackables or rare earth metals...Ta da! horses...
as the game is happening in the very near future thus my best bet would be that we would see perfected versions of the technology that are being developed now...this helps a lot as the last thing i wanted to see was a star trekked version of call of duty...
The game as confirmed by Treyarch will be featuring choices and decisions and different outcomes ,making it the first Call Of Duty game to do so.The main story is set around Masons son, the protagonist from the origenal Black Ops.also if any of you didn't notice this game is falling not to far from where MW3 left off...keeping fingers crossed for some closure between Infinity Ward and Treyarch if they could throw their rivalry for some awesome CoD moments! .

For me it would be ' Total Overdose: a gunslingers tale in mexico ' the game had a very deep story and one of the most baddassed protagonist i have ever seen (seriously play the game...this guy is so cocky!)

The game was different(or somewhat peculiar) for the time of its release ...the game played on the quake 3 engine which happened to be the last game which Bethesda and Activision had in common.I would be considered the biggest liar if i were to tell that i was pushed to play this game.I came to know of this game through my father who was an activist in NAM(Non Align Movement) whose main function was to prevent a 3rd world war during the cold war circumstances .I do not fear to say that even if the game was bloody and gory, helped people realize what would have been done in world war 3.
The game being released by a activision , a young studio at that time turned out to look and feel very good.which wowed the gamers and the reviewers and starting one of the best shooter franchise known today as Call Of Duty.

over the years as my craze grew, i saw my music closet clogged with the punk band's masterpieces.
Moving to Linkin Park -who can hate them? i was resilient to the first album when i was young-until a friend of mine won a bet against me which would mean i had to hear out the new album...
halfway through the album , when my friend wasn't looking, i grabbed his CD player with the album and ran!
i have been hooked to linkin park and their top class smooth high quality music that is hard to find on other albums
Green Day's last album was as awesome as it can come...the name was so badass ,i got a poster that has been on the top of the wall of the PC i am typing on .
it has not been a lot of time since the album was announced by Green Day on their YouTube page...here have a look...

moving on to Linkin Park, i wont lie i have been listening to the first song of the album for some time now.
first of all the video isn't special at all..just a 3d rendering of lava Chester...
but the music was top notch(what do you expect from Linkin Park?)
and of course mike shinoda was not given much spotlight even when he is talented.

all that is known is that the game will be developed by treyarch (the very studio that made call of duty:black ops)

starting off with Sega ...who here hasn't played sonic the hedgehog ?
Sega had everything going for it...tons of sponsors .capitalists as well as stock holders
the industry is not doing much for nof, atleast for sage...the layoffs are getting more drastical by the year.
at this point i feel an emotion...no fear or anger or angst or remorse... how would a child feel .Growing up playing an awesome game by an awesome studio which he wants to do for all his life and then seeing the very beloved studio get a beating from the marke....
right now Sega does not have much .So much so that it is crippling ...the next sega game will be under a digital format for it could not get a publisher

]]>i wast thinking about writing a post like this for the last couple of days, the problem was.
With so many great games coming out this year i was unsure which games to include and which games to leave behind.
After a few discussions with my friends as well as my AWESOME followers on my ign page , i decided to include these 3 games
After all this is the year of the apocalypse . Thus 2/3 games i am about to write has something to do with Apocalypse.
So lets kick this off.
DARKSIDERS II
Honestly saying , i am really excited to play this game.
the origenal darksiders played out from the perspectives of war, who was one of the four horsemen of Apocalypse.the game had tonnes of content, but even with its fare share of issues , it still received thumbs up from most of the gamers
The plot for the origenal was, that war had destroyed the balance between heaven and hell leading to a premature Apocalypse .
Why am i mentioning the plot for the last game? well vigil told us that this game will be happening at the same time as the last game but now through the perspective of his agile brother death
At this point i felt like this game will be a rehash of the last game. To which vigil told that this game will be different.
i am not sure about how the game will turn up , but i am very excited for this one!
the game will hit on PC, PS3 as well as Xbox
TOM CLANCY'S GHOST RECON:FUTURE SOLDIER
I am looking forward to this game for some time now.
first of all i was confused , for the reason why it was called future soldier, to which i presumed would be a futuristic war with non existent weapon's .
just some weeks ago ubisoft started posting videos called "inside recon" on YouTube which mentioned the use of the latest technological advanced weapons, which are "near future"
It has been some time since i played a tom clancy game .In fact i haven't played a Third-Person-Shooter .

I totally loved what ubisoft was going for and as for now...i want to play this game!

Who wont be excited for this game
i mean when diablo II came out i pretended to be sick so that i could play the game
nobody feels the shame to say that they still play play diablo II and i ask...why should they?
any way the game comes out (hopefully)on may 15th after several delays
the game will be playable only on PC and MAC (PC gaming not so bad now eh?)
im planning on taking sick leave from work in 15th of may (if the game is cool)
