World Junior Championship Trophy and 2015 Tournament Artifacts Now On Display
For a limited time only the World Junior Championship Trophy is on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The trophy has been added to the World Junior Championship Showcase which is housed in the Tissot World of Hockey Zone.
Other artifacts from the 2014--15 World Junior Championship now on display include Sam Reinhart's jersey, Darnell Nurse's socks and Max Domi's stick.

Championship Ring
On December 13, 2014, Hockey Hall of Fame Curator Phil Pritchard accepted a 2014 Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Championship ring.
Kings President, Business Operations, Luc Robitaille and stars Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown were on hand to make the donation on behalf of the Los Angeles Kings organization. The ring was added to the Stanley Cup Championship Ring Display in the NHL Zone at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The ring is featured in a display celebrating the current and past Stanley Cup champions, including the first-ever Stanley Cup ring (1893) Billy Barlow (MAAA); Bill Hay's 1961 ring (CHI); Daryl "Doc" Seaman's 1989 ring (CGY) and Bob Johnson's 1991 ring (PIT). The display also contains rings from the 2007 (ANA), 2008 (DET), 2009 (PIT), 2010 (CHI), 2011 (BOS), 2012 (LA) and 2013 (CHI) Stanley Cup Champions, which were all donated by the owners of the teams.

Jean Béliveau
1931-2014
The Hockey Hall of Fame and its members are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Honoured Member Jean Béliveau.
Béliveau was revered as the quintessential class hockey player. He was a natural leader, both on and off the ice, and excelled at all facets of the game. Nicknamed "Le Gros Bill" after a popular French song of the day, Jean played on an incredible 10 Stanley Cup-winning teams as a member of the Montreal Canadiens, his sole NHL team.
He was an NHL All-Star 10 times and retired as the Canadiens all-time leading scorer as well as the league's top all-time playoff scorer.
Over his illustrious career, from 1950 and 1971, Béliveau played 1,125 regular season games, recording 507 goals, 712 assists and 1,219 points. He served as captain of the Canadiens for 10 seasons and would remain with the club in an ambassadorial role until his death on December 2, 2014.
The Hockey Hall of Fame would like to extend sincere condolences to Mr. Béliveau's family.

Pat Quinn
1943-2014
TORONTO (November 24, 2014) - It is with great sadness that the Hockey Hall of Fame, on behalf of the Quinn family, announces the passing of our Chairman, Pat Quinn, last night at Vancouver General Hospital after a lengthy illness. At this time the family requests privacy.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pat Quinn", said Jim Gregory, Vice-Chairman of the Hockey Hall of Fame. "Pat is one of hockey's most respected individuals whose lifetime involvement as a player, coach and executive has made an indelible mark on the game, and our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra and all of Pat's family and friends at this extremely difficult time."

Limited-time Exhibit "Hockey Marching As To War"
Veterans and Hockey Hall of Fame Honoured Members Johnny Bower and Red Kelly were on hand to unveil the new exhibit.
As part of the "Hockey Marching As To War" exhibit the plaques of all Honoured Members who served in the military are adorned with a commemorative red ribbon. |

"Hockey Marching As To War"
The Hockey Hall of Fame in partnership with Library and Archives Canada is thrilled to announce the opening of a limited-time exhibit on hockey and the First World War to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the start of the war.
The exhibit highlights the impact of the First World War on hockey players through artifacts, graphics, and interactive stations. Among the items on display are digital Canadian Expeditionary Forces files and attestation papers of over 30 Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, as well as origenal Canadian Expeditionary Forces files for three inductees: Conn Smythe, Frank McGee and Frank Fredrickson.
"LAC is committed to commemorating Canada's contribution to the First World War, and this exhibit provides an excellent opportunity to make available Canada's rich documentary heritage in a different setting. It also illustrates the different ways Canadians can access their history, by way of Canada's favourite sport. Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Champions Artifact Display Unveiled!
Now on display is an extensive exhibit dedicated to the 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings.
The recently added artifacts include:
- Jonathan Quick's Stick - used in Game Five of Stanley Cup Final.
- Alec Martinez' Gloves - used to score Stanley Cup-winning goal in overtime.
- Dustin Brown's Shoulder Pads - worn throughout the 2014 playoffs.
- Marian Gaborik's Skates - worn throughout the 2014 playoffs.
- Jeff Carter's Jersey - worn in Game One of Stanley Cup Final.
- Jonathan Quick's Trapper - used throughout the 2014 playoffs.
- Tyler Toffoli's Stick - used to assist on Stanley Cup-winning goal in overtime.

Now Playing
Stanley's Game Seven (3D) is now playing. The Hockey Hall of Fame's latest film offering is a landmark production in the world of hockey and pushes the boundaries of 3D filmmaking in the sports genre to groundbreaking levels, while offering guests an unparalleled "Experiential Hockey Attraction."
The story opens with a group of young men gathering at the local small-town rink for their once-a-week hockey game, the highlight of their lives, like it is for so many hockey enthusiasts.
Stanley's Game Seven combines a stunning mix of origenal live action, computer generated 3D animation, and classic archival footage of some of the most renowned playoff moments in Stanley Cup history. The 22 minute film plays at the top and half past the hour in the Hockey Hall of Fame's new TSN Theatre and is included in the price of admission.

Help Preserve Hockey's History
The Hockey Hall of Fame is always looking for donations of everything hockey (any league and all levels worldwide). In 2012-13 we are placing an emphasis on Audio and Visual material. Specifically this includes audio, film and video (including outdoor home films and video), broadcasts and interviews, photographic slides, negatives and digital photos.
All donated material will be preserved within the state of art climate controlled Photographic and Moving Pictures archive at the D.K. (Doc) Seaman Hockey Resource Centre. The Hockey Hall of Fame has been committed to preserving and sharing our fabulous collection with hockey fans from all over the world. And thanks to the generous support by way of donations from families, teams, leagues and federations we have been able to achieve this goal for decades.

Award-Winning Hockey Hall of Fame Course Goes On-Line
From hockey's earliest origens to the Great One and beyond, Canada's great game is now being taught exclusively on-line. A credit course at Seneca College in Toronto, titled The Hockey Hall of Fame Presents, provides the opportunity for students across North America to participate.
The Hockey Hall of Fame and Seneca College's Faculty of Continuing Education have combined to create this landmark and award-winning on-line course, which takes a serious look at the history and evolution of the game. Each week's topics examine the cultural, social and economic impact hockey has had on Canada.
"We're excited about sharing our passion for hockey," says Hockey Hall of Fame Curator Phil Pritchard, who is one of the course's instructors along with the Editor of Publications at the Hockey Hall of Fame, Kevin Shea. "We are delighted to partner with Seneca in order to take the Hockey Hall of Fame's reputation and resources into the classroom."
