The Tim Hortons Theatre is a 120-seat space with a large-screen (16/9) projection in which Hall of Fame guests can enjoy archival film and video footage from the Hockey Hall of Fame video vault including: Stanley Cup championship highlight reels, international tournament footage and other unique behind-the-scenes hockey films and videos.
On the opposing side of the theatre guests will find a photographic montage and showcase displays that recognize and promote individuals who have participated in the Timbits Minor Hockey Program, a community-based, grassroots sponsorship program for children four to eight years old at the house league level.
The Tim Hortons theatre is also home to two showcases featuring artifacts from Tim Horton himself. Among the artifacts on display are a Pittsburgh Hornets jacket from 1951-52, a stick used while a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1967-68 and a Buffalo Sabres jersey from his final NHL season in 1973-74.
With its movable seating and walls and state-of-the-art audio and visual system, the Tim Hortons Theatre is a prime location to hold annual meetings, seminars, press conferences and presentations. This very versatile space can be set up in any configuration: from theatre style to half-rounds to classroom style. Conveniently located at the front entrance of the Hockey Hall of Fame, this space is easy to get to and is connected to Toronto's extensive underground PATH system.
