NBER Help: Working PapersU.S. Goverment Employees and Residents of Developing CountriesFree downloads of NBER Working PapersIf you are a U.S. government employee or a resident of a
developing country, you should have free access to
NBER Working Papers on the basis of your domain name.
U.S. government employees have a domain name ending in .gov, such as
whitehouse.gov. State government workers generally have an email address of
"state.state-postal-id.us" but other domains may be added upon
request.
Residents of developing countries have a domain name ending in their
two letter country code (for instance, the counry code for France is .fr, so the domain
name for the Sorbonne is sorbonne.fr).
A list of qualifying domain names is available.
Testing free accessAn easy test is to browse our test document at http://papers.nber.org/papers/w0000 If you are in an authorized domain you should see "This paper is available in PDF (2 K) or HTML(0 K) format." If the system does not recognize you, you will see a link called "add this paper to your order basket," in which case we can offer you further authorization help.
