Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s like taking Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Emotions, Adventure and Drama and weaving a wholesome story around these. Couple of moments where you may end up smiling or shedding a tear or two yourself. Overall, an interesting read.

More like a discussion on astrophysics with the author
Reviewed: 10-07-21
Which is literally is! Have heard a lot better ones from Neil Degrasse Tyson. This one seems like an abridged discussion of his favourite topics. Sentences and explanation have been literally borrowed from his other books. Even though you are blown over at first, by what he says; repetition of same concepts and language, irrespective of how impressive they are, becomes bit monotonous. Otherwise, give it a go if you have nothing better to hear, it’s too short anyway.

Story
When Autobiography of a Yogi first appeared in 1946, it was acclaimed as a landmark work in its field. The New York Times hailed it as "a rare account". Newsweek pronounced it "fascinating". The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray." Today it is still one of the most widely read and respected books ever published on the wisdom of the East.

You have a choice!

First autobiography I’ve read/heard. Without denial, the book does give you interesting insights in spirituality, materialism, science, fiction, good and evil.. What I liked most about it is, it explains the right path to you, gives you information about the consequences of following or not following it and then, leaves it for you to decide the path you would want to tread.
A bit detailed though, especially around the areas where the author describes the experience during his travel, but worth going through those portions once he comes to the main part. Give it a try, worth it.

Today's view of history cannot account for ancient anomalies, such as the Pyramids and advanced knowledge contained in India's Vedas. But in 1894, an Indian sage gave us an explanation not only for our hidden past but for the trends of today and for our future enlightenment - the 24,000-year yuga cycle.

It’s all about belief
Reviewed: 23-04-21
The narration leads you from concepts under vedas to as recent as string theory, from materialistic era to a time where energy rules everything and from creation of ancient structures to developments we are witnessing today. The books does presents some interesting insights into the periods mankind has been through and where it is headed; however, it doesn’t answer the question, why it’s happening that way. It’s also difficult to completely disregard the scientific theories and proofs we have at present and believe what the author mentions is a part of 24000 year cycle. Anyway, as I said, if you believe the concepts, this is an insightful read/hear.

and how it works to lead into the theory of multiverse, parallel universe, higher dimensions etc. Personally, I wasn't too interested in such details and could easily be happy without 3-4 hours of listening time in the middle of the book. However, the parts which interest me were beautifully dealt with and I got the concepts very easily (PS: am not related to physics or science academically). Overall, a good read for possibility, study and theories on parallel worlds.

Story
We've all asked ourselves the question. It's impossible to look up at the stars and NOT think about it: Are we alone in the universe? Books, movies, and television shows proliferate that attempt to answer this question and explore it. In Out There, Space.com senior writer Dr. Michael Wall treats that question as merely the beginning, touching off a wild ride of exploration into the final frontier. He considers, for instance, the myriad of questions that would arise once we do discover life beyond Earth (an eventuality which, top NASA officials told Wall, is only drawing closer).

The book goes on to describing the possibility of finding an ET life, their probable life, form, genders, technology, culture and other deep details. 90% of the book is dedicated to this concept and goes on to explain some interesting concepts in great details in an equally interesting manner.. yeah, the narrator does an impressive job. His theatrics, art of reading, clarity and speed keeps the reader involved. The other parts, Anti Matter, Interstellar travel and Time Travel are condensed into small chapters, 3-4 of them. Overall, a good "read"..

A bit too detailed, but thoroughly enjoyable read
Reviewed: 30-11-20
I am lawyer by profession and know very few details about the formulas, calculations, equations etc. (except the most famous ones); however, the book, despite diving into such technical details, gives a more than reasonable amount of information to "non-science civilians". Overall, an interesting read with lot of amazing concepts.
