A Chicago native, Stephanie (Feder) Streja played on Chicago stages as Fanny in Funny Girl, Mame in Mame and Bloody Mary in South Pacific, capping off her Chicago career on the main stage of the Symphony Center in a concert performance of Richard Adler's Pajama Game conducted by the composer. She has won numerous awards for her opera and jazz solo performances including placing three consecutive years in the International Bel Canto Italian Aria Competition. During her time living abroad in Italy she performed at dozens of concert venues specializing primarily in Music of the Baroque and early Italian Renaissance. Now based in Los Angeles, Ms. Streja has performed as a soloist with the San Francisco Bach Choir, Orange County Women's Chorus, and with the Casa Italiana Opera Company. She made her Barclay Theater debut as Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme performed in concert with symphony orchestra.
