You always have to worry when movies are advertised as “x meets y”, even if that – sometimes – is actually the best way to describe a film, In the case of Intensive Care, its “John Wick meets Don’t Breathe” an interesting combination if there ever was one. But its also a combo that conjures up all sorts of exciting hype – hype that the film couldn’t possibly live up to right… Right?
Well, sort of.
Like all great action movies, Intensive Care keeps its plot simple: three low life criminals plan to rob an elderly woman’s home, but her caregiver turns out to be a former special ops agent with an agenda of her own. That’s...

As a whole video games based on comic book franchises have met with more critical success than games based on cinematic franchises. Part of the reasoning behind this is that comic books have a natural affinity with the transition to gaming: bold characters, super powers that can empower the player, the rich environments, and story lines that can be drawn on. All these things can help bring exciting and fun gameplay experiences.
Comic book narratives are something I love; the integration between written narrative and illustrative depth has always fascinated me. Every time a video game based on a comic book franchise appears, I buy it. Sometimes I've been stung by that, but most times I have a satisfying and immersive gaming experience.
So here are a few of my favourite games in this genre.

Voliton's The Punisher is a grisly game where you can torture enemies in order to gain information.

The record label Rayna Jaymes worked so hard to build may be in shambles, and if it does survive, it’ll do so without one of its marquee players. Still, Nashville showrunner Marshall Herskovitz says, we should consider the Season 5 finale a win… for Juliette, if no one else.

Are you there, Luke Wheeler? It’s me, a troubled Nashville enthusiast.
Before you say anything, yes. I was one of the people routinely calling you out as a ridiculous corporate whore who’d slap his name on anything for the right price. Yes, I often mocked you for talking about your “brand” and “Luke Wheeler Worldwide” (whatever that was) and all of that ridiculousness.

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including Twin Peaks, Preacher, Casual and Arrow!
But first, some Qs coming out of San Diego Comic-Con:
1 | Does anyone not think that that Morgan saying “I don’t die” in The Walking Dead’s trailer dooms him?
2 | Kansas performing “Carry on Wayward Son” in Hall H: Peak Supernatural moment? Like, how do they even come close to topping that next year?
3 | Who would you award Miss/Mister Congeniality, of the many who passed through TVLine’s video suite?...

If you’d have told me a year-and-a-half ago that I’d be asking for more Maddie in my Nashville, I’d have told you to go shove your head in a Tupperware full of pink macaroni. And yet, as this week’s Gunnar-centric episode unspools, I find myself constantly wondering, “Yes, but what is going on with the Maddie-Juliette beef?” So here we are.
The hour spends a bunch of time with Gunnar in his old hometown, revisiting his childhood, which was even sadder than we’d been led to believe.

The thing that many of us thought might happen to Scarlett and Gunnar after last week’s Nashville actually does happen in this week’s Nashville, and it’s heartbreaking. If you read these recaps with any regularity, you know that I’m far more likely to make a hemp-choker joke about Scarlett than to sympathize with her flights of emotional fancy. After all, how many public crying fits can a grown woman have before people stop taking her seriously? Yet when Deacon’s niece suffers a miscarriage in “You Can’t Lose Me,...
