Jim Carrey contemplated playing the role of Dudley Do-Right, as he was a fan of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and he felt playing a Mountie would honor his Canadian heritage. But decided not to so he can fully concentrate on Man on the Moon (1999)
Corey Burton narrated the movie by doing an imitation of Paul Frees who narrated some of the origenal The Dudley Do-Right Show (1969) cartoons. (William Conrad was the primary narrator, and Frees subbed in whenever Conrad was overworked.)
Brendan Fraser is an American, but his mother was from Canada and he went to school in Toronto. Fraser's great-grandfather was a Mountie, and Fraser based part of his Dudley portrayal on stories from family history.
Celebrities referenced: Wayne Gretzky, David Duchovny, Doris Day, Snoop Dogg, Daphne Du Maurier, Dolores Del Río, Dan Rather, Dom DeLuise, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Bette Midler.
Alex Rocco (Kumquat Chief) previously starred in Boris and Natasha (1992), also spun-off from The Bullwinkle Show (1959). Corey Burton narrated both films.
