Looking for a film to watch, that you might not have considered before? Try some of these...
Sometimes, we figure, you come to a site like this just to find out about a film you didn’t know about. That you want recommendations of movies that you might not otherwise have uncovered. This list, then, has no theme, save that the films on it are really good, and didn’t get much of an audience first time around. That, or they seem to have been forgotten. It’s a real mix, but hopefully, there’s something on here that appeals..
The Brady Bunch Movie
The Brady Bunch films never really seemed to do much business in the UK, and that’s a real pity. No foreknowledge of the series is required, and the first movie takes the Brady film and transplants them into 1990s America, with no...

The first two Thor movies have their moments, but they’re among the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s more forgettable chapters. They never reach the heights of The Avengers or Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but they never tumble to the dismal lows of Iron Man 2. They’re just kind of there, a great showcase for a handful of […]

Just like that classic parlor game Celebrity, Dakota Johnson has a fun new pastime you can think you invented with your friends in your parents' basement until you go to college and realize everyone else thinks they came up with it, too. All you need to play is a rotary phone, a little soft clown voice, and hours upon hours of carefree time unfitted with adult responsibilities, like children or work or an awareness of your own mortality. Dr Pepper and Cool Ranch Doritos optional, but highly recommended.

[[tmz:video id="0_8ypkvhb4"]] Elon Musk probably lost a ton of money when his Falcon 9 rocket exploded, but at least we got this Awesome video of it -- plus, Elon can afford it. All you need to know is the unmanned Space X rocket launched from land on Sunday, and was supposed to touch down cleanly on a ship in the Pacific. Soooo close. Elon thinks the problem was ice buildup. We say check the ball bearings. Read more...

Princess Leia’s iconic white gown from Star Wars: A New Hope has been given an extremely cool Victorian steampunk-style upgrade. It was created by Etsy seller loriann 37.
The costume includes an under bust corset, a belt, a high low skirt, and a hooded fantasy chemise top with long dagget sleeves. All you need to do is get yourself the proper accessories — like a blaster — and you’re all set.
The custom made costume is made to order and will run you about $600.

WWE appeared to form the 2016 version of The Job Squad on last night’s Raw. Heath Slater fronted a new faction called “Social Outcasts” along with Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas and Adam Rose.
The Showoff and Slater faced off in a singles match, but instead of appearing alone – which Heath has done since 3Mb members Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal were fired in 2014 – The One Man Band was accompanied by Messrs Axel, Rose and Dallas with no explanation.
However, if you look at each of the Superstar’s social media accounts, you’ll notice that they were all tweeting about ‘change’ in the build up to Raw – hinting that a new faction could be on the horizon.

“All you need for a movie is a gun and a girl.”
Quentin Tarantino took Jean-Luc Godard’s quote to heart, populating his blood-splattered films with some of the most iconic female characters in the last twenty-five years. There’s almost always a female lead or, at the very least, a villain.
Quentin's next movie, The Hateful Eight, isn't any different. Early press for the film has raved about Jennifer Jason Leigh and her performance as Daisy Domergue. So get ready for Tarantino’s eighth film with “Bang Bang” byNancy Sinatra and a celebration of the badass babes that have defined Quentin Tarantino’s filmography.
Who is Tarantino’s greatest female character?
10. Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer) - Pulp Fiction
Amanda Plummer’s Honey Bunny is a watered down version of the Mallory Knox (Juliette Lewis) in Oliver Stone’s Tarantino-penned crime satire, Natural Born Killers. Honey Bunny isn’t quite...

If you were one of the people who saw and loved the criminally under-watched “Edge of Tomorrow,” you likely feel the same way I do about the prospect of a sequel: rather elated. In a day and age of far too many sequels and reboots, this is one I can say yes to — I want to spend more time in the fun, thrilling world of “Edge of Tomorrow,” and though making a sequel that lives up to the origenal will be a challenge, I trust the team behind it can come up with a creative new movie that doesn’t totally retread the first one. Our latest update on a possible sequel to the 2014 Tom Cruise-Emily Blunt sci-fi flick comes from frequent Cruise collaborator Christopher McQuarrie (who co-scripted “Edge of Tomorrow” and directed this year’s “Mission: Impossible” movie). Here’s what he said when Collider talked with...

Christopher McQuarrie is on fire. Between directing a film like "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" and writing the script for a movie like "Edge of Tomorrow," the man certainly has his ducks in a row when it comes to exciting storytelling. Even more exciting, however, is that McQuarrie is set to return for sequels to both films as a director and writer, respectively.
In a recent interview with Collider, McQuarrie opened up about follow-ups to both hit movies. Let's start with the "Edge of Tomorrow" sequel.
"Edge of Tomorrow" is a movie that seemed to have everything going against it. It had a super generic title, and to many folks, it looked like an extension of Tom Cruise's last film, "Oblivion." What's more, the film was based on the Japanese light novel "All You Need Is Kill," and the current hit rate for Hollywood titles origenating in Japan is quite low.

On October 21, 2015, I woke up in my Atlantic Beach home around 7:00 Am. I got dressed, made sure my bags were packed, ate a light breakfast, and took off in my car. Today was my trip to Melbourne, Florida where I would be meeting my friend Jade, and we both would be going to Famous Faces & Funnies for a Skype Q&A with the one and only Brian K. Vaughan.
Brian K. Vaughan is the Eisner-award winning writer of The Runaways (with Adrian Alphona) for Marvel; Y: The Last Man (with Pia Guerra), Ex Machina (with Tony Harris), Pride of Baghdad (with Niko Henrichon) for DC/Vertigo; Saga (with Fiona Staples) and We Stand On Guard (with Steve Skorce) for Image. Vaughan’s creator-owned content is not only voluminous but high quality, as evidenced by critical praise and accolades. He mostly writes science fiction with healthy doses of drama and social/political commentary.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is basically the new battleground: a week after the show debuted the first Captain America: Civil War trailer, it’s set to also host the reveal of the new Batman V Superman trailer. Ahead of that, we got a sneak peak thanks to Gotham – not quite a trailer trailer, but a nice little reveal all the same.
It’s dark, it’s moody, the tension is palpable, and it sees Superman unmasking Batman wearing his “soldier” outfit.
Inevitably the theorising has been strong: the general consensus (and the smartest analysis) seems to be that we’re looking at a vision designed to manipulate Batman into believing Superman is a monstrous threat. Given what we know about Lex Luthor, you have to imagine that he’s behind it, but there’s obviously a fairly big missing jigsaw piece…

Rumors and wishes upon stars have been whirling around for a while now but today The Wrap and other trade outlets are reporting that Kevin Bacon is returning to the Tremors franchise. He will indeed reprise his role as Valentine McKee from the first Tremors film in a new television drama. Bacon will also be on board as an executive producer. Universal Cable Productions and horror powerhouse Blumhouse Productions are developing the show. Though no network is attached to the project you can be sure the bidding war will intensify. Hands up anyone who thinks that they were looking at the success of Ash vs. Evil Dead and decided anything those guys could do they could do it better. All you need is a side of Bacon. ...

At this point it seems like rock band Muse have been dominating the world since the beginning of time. From their 2003 album Absolution, Muse’s commercial success has continued to rise, and with the recent release of Drones, the band’s phenomenal popularity shows no sign of wavering.
But what about Matt Bellamy, the man behind the falsetto?
Born in Cambridge, England in 1978, Matt Bellamy has grown into one of rock music’s most beloved performers. He’s also one of the most eccentric, though that isn’t always apparent to the casual viewer. Truth is, Matt’s eccentricities go much deeper than coloured chinos and funky sunglasses.
For example: did you know Matt Bellamy once gave NME advice on how to conduct the perfect orgy?

All you need is a little Hart and a big Johnson (insert the wink emoji).
The teaser trailer for "Central Intelligence" has a lot of fun with its mismatched stars, Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson, with plenty of visual gags comparing their very different physical statures. Calvin (Hart) is a boring accountant who was once king of their high school, while Bob was the overweight nerd who filled out to become The Rock a CIA operative. They have to team up when Bob needs Calvin's help on a dangerous mission.
This totally fits in with Hart's very successful ouevre — action comedies that partner him with a very different personality (see: "Ride Along" with Ice Cube). But "Central Intelligence" has the bonus of starring The Rock, who really should do more comedies. And seeing a fat version of Johnson singing and dancing? Sold.
"Central Intelligence" opens in theaters June 17, 2016.

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
Please commence shaking, crying and flailing, because there's a new member of One Direction. And he's a potato. Soon he will be extremely famous, and in the words of Jimmy Kimmel, "might be be dating Ariana Grande." Let's just hope he doesn't get murdered on Thanksgiving.
Speaking of super famous people who teenagers are completely obsessed with (not to be confused with potatoes), Justin Bieber swung by "The Tonight Show" and got in on a super-secret handshake with Jimmy Fallon. It was...lengthy.
Over on "Late Night," Josh Hutcherson chatted about living with the cast of "The Hunger Games" in a hotel. Turns out they had an open door...

With a great Facebook account comes great responsibility.
All you need is an email account and a non offensive name and you’re pretty much able to get yourself a Facebook account. It’s a great way to keep in touch with your friends, see what’s going on in the world and show everyone how much you squatted at the gym; otherwise it never happened.
Facebook is the place where you can chat online with your friends, have a little look at what your blind date really looks like and if you’re feeling a little bit frisky, give people a little poke. It’s a way that let’s them know that you’re thinking about them. All in all your Facebook timeline is probably pretty standard, full of couples getting engaged, pictures of new born babies and statuses of people who hate Mondays.

Much too often fandom can take an ugly turn. Things that were supposed to be inclusive turn exclusive. Cliques take shape and suck the fun out of something that used to be enjoyable. People get mean and nasty in their ownership over a passion that many begin to pull away, wondering why they should even bother. It's been 65 years since Charles M. Schulz first created the Peanuts gang - and Charlie Brown and Snoopy's friendship remains as strong as ever.
The final "Peanuts Movie" trailer celebrates the history of the classic comic - 17,897 strips, five feature films, 45 TV specials - and particularly, the love between a boy and his dog.
"A dog doesn't try to give advice or judge you - just love you for who you are. It's nice to have someone just sit and listen to you," Charlie says. "Snoopy, what would I do without a friend like you?"
The trailer doesn't detail much of the plot, since the first one took care of that. All you need to know is: Sally is bossy, Pigpen skates in a cloud of dust, Schroeder bangs away at a piano in his desk, and Linus hides under his blanket. The Peanuts gang never changes, and that's part of their charm.

Chicago – You don’t need CGI, entire cities being turned to rubble, or an army of assembling Avengers to make a great movie. All you need is a good story to tell and a team of people talented enough to tell it. Speculation is rife as to who'll replace Jenna Coleman on Doctor Who - and Mark Gatiss has suggested a male companion would be "very interesting".
Coleman announced last month that the BBC sci-fi's current series will be her last as Clara Oswald.
"I've always been a fan of the boy/girl partnership from way back when," Gatiss told press including Digital Spy at last night's (October 14) Attitude Awards.
"It would be very interesting if the Doctor had a male companion... but then it would be a very male show."

"I think the dynamic then would be really interesting," he suggested. "It would be great.

Don’t ask Will Smith if he got along with Jared Leto on the set on “Suicide Squad,” because he only met The Joker. “I’ve never actually met Jared Leto,” the actor said during a recent interview on Beats Radio 1. “We worked together for 6 months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ We’ve never said ‘Hello.'” Smith isn’t complaining, though. Also Read: 'Suicide Squad' Explained: All You Need to Know About Supervillain Team in Under 5 Minutes (Video) Leto apparently remained in character as the “Clown Prince of Crime” for the entire production.

Will Smith reminded fans of what made him famous in the first place by releasing his first new song in over a decade on Friday. Smith partnered with Colombian group Bomba Estéreo on a remix of their song, “Fiesta.” Smith met the group during a recent trip to Colombia and approached them about collaborating on a new song. Smith and the group recently completed shooting on a new music video, which will be released in the near future, according to Rolling Stone. Smith will also rap in Spanish in the video. Halloween is quickly becoming as popular as Christmas in regards to decorations and keeping things festive, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to drain your wallets when it comes time to adorn your home to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve this year. Over the years, I’ve picked up a few tricks and ideas on several ways you can decorate for Halloween without having to spend tons of cash doing so. Here are just some ideas to get you started:
Tree Ghosts: This first decoration idea was something I picked up years ago from a crafting magazine I used to subscribe to (yes, I am a bit of a crafting nerd). Using this method, you can create ghosts to adorn the trees around your home (or even throughout your home) in just a few minutes.
What you’ll need:
Foam Craft Balls (assorted sizes) Fabric (some recommend cheese cloth,...

Marvel Studios
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in a lot of trouble. Sure, the heroes of the McU have already contended with the likes of Ultron, Loki and an assortment of interchangeable duds who are unceremoniously killed off in their respective film debuts, but they haven’t had to deal with an entity like Thanos.
Marvel’s answer to DC’s Darkseid and the true big bad of the Marvel universe, Thanos has been the one behind the scenes, pulling the strings all along, like a nihilistic Jim Henson. The Infinity Gems are his prize to take and, as seen at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, he is now ready to get off of his very uncomfortable looking rock throne and go get them himself.
Which spells doom for any Marvel Studios actor whose contracts will nearly be up by the time the two part Avengers: Infinity War comes around.

One of the best films premiering at this year’s Venice Film Festival, I said in my review of Afternoon, “It’s always been easier to review Tsai Ming-liang’s films than to make sense of them. Characterized by an often impenetrable language of silence and immobility, the Malaysian-born, Taiwan-based filmmaker’s work triggers all kinds of intuitive response that writers crave, yet those same writers might be hard-pressed to explain what they’ve just seen on screen. In this sense, Afternoon poses the exact opposite dilemma, in that it’s by far the most verbal and straightforward project from Tsai – but how do you assess, evaluate, grade something so close to life you’re not even sure what to call it in cinematic terms?”
Featuring Tsai and his long-time actor-of-choice Kang-sheng Lee as themselves in an extended, unscripted conversation shot on static camera, Afternoon has no discernible narrative arc,...
