- Quotes
Commander William Adama: [after one-third of the fleet has left with President Roslin to Kobol] It's interesting... Betrayal has such a powerful grip on the mind. It's almost like a python, it can squeeze out all other thought, suffocate all other emotion until... everything is dead except for the rage. I'm not talking about anger, I'm talking about rage. I can feel it. Right here
[grabs his chest]
Commander William Adama: , like it's gonna burst. I feel like I want to scream. Right now, as a matter of fact.
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: [Has been sitting listening to him for some time] If I may say something?
Commander William Adama: Speak your mind D.
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: I don't think the problem is that you have been betrayed. I think it's that you feel helpless. You were shot, you were injured, you couldn't do anything.
Commander William Adama: Don't make excuses for me.
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: And when you finally had a chance to do somthing...
Commander William Adama: [looks up and sighs] I'm sorry I did this.
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: You let us down... you let us down. You made a promise, to all of us, to find Earth, to find us a home... together. It doesn't matter what the president did or even what Lee did, because everyday that we remain apart is a day that you've broken your promise.
Commander William Adama: The people aboard those ships made their own decision. It was their decision, not mine. Thank you Petty Officer, you may leave now.
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: [gets up to leave, then hesitates] You asked to talk to me sir, maybe because you think I don't have anything to say... but I do.
[moves closer to Adama and grabs his hand]
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: It's time to heal the wounds, Commander. People have been divided...
Commander William Adama: I said that's enough!
Petty Officer 2nd Dualla: Children have been separated from their parents!
Commander William Adama: [Finally looks at her, gets up and leaves]

The fleet has splintered and talented people such as Apollo are not easily replaceable. The new Commander Air Group makes a mess of the new training mission.
Adama riles up the journalists who dare say that Earth is a figment of his imagination.
In the other half of the fleet, President Roslin steps up her search in Kobol for the Tomb of Athena when she is reunited with Starbuck.
Roslin has the support of her religious supporters. Something Zarek notes an is envious of. It does not stop him and his right hand man Meier having a game plan.
As for Sharon, the duplicate of Boomer has everyone hating her. Even Roslin at one point tells her that she will be imprisoned at one part of the ship and then orders to be thrown out of the ship.
What saves her is that Sharon claims that she knows the way to the Temple of Athena.
It is still an episode that highlights how fragile Adama is and his resolve to do something about it.
