Every marketing campaign has its flaws. Some start too early, some start too late, and some have god-awful trailers and even worse posters. While the effectiveness of a marketing campaign is determined by the bottom line, it’s as much an art as filmmaking or storytelling is. It requires the ability to boil something down to its essence and convey it to a mainstream audience that likely doesn’t even care about what you’re peddling.
Wonder Woman has an especially difficult task. She may be one of the most well known comic book characters of all time, but the film is coming on the heels of two very poorly-received films set in the same universe. Even worse, the marketing campaigns for those two films — Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad — were, by and large, pretty solid. Thus far, the footage shown for Wonder Woman has been pretty good, but not long ago,...

Raimy always believed her father was a bad man, a bad cop, killed after he had royally screwed things up.
She found out differently on her 28th birthday, because on Frequency Season 1 Episode 1, Raimy talked to her father for the first time in 20 years.
If you've seen the movie Frequency, this story wasn't all that new to you. The movie was very similar to what played out in the pilot.
The movie was easily wrapped up in two hours, but there were differences, the most pressing being that the father wasn't a cop, but a fireman.
That may seem like a small change, but I think it allows for a lot more exploration of Frank's story in the timeline before the alteration, if they want to go that way.
Already, so much of what we saw in the pilot has been eradicated. But what wasn't was the relationship between father and daughter.

Stars have long been known for saying, "Hi, mom!" on TV, but this Mother's Day a few small-screen personalities' mothers turned the tables.
The Today show crew thought they'd be sharing a special Mother's Day brunch with a few parents who'd been hand-picked from Rockefeller Plaza, but the anchors were surprised when their own mothers showed up on set.
Savannah Guthrie began calling the names of the lucky "winners," starting with "Sheila from Kansas" – and in waltzed the proud mother of Sheinelle Jones.
The mom-daughter duo embraced as the other anchors' moms entered the room one by one.
