Symptoms: An Interview with Brian Smedley-Aston (2016)
*** (out of 4)
Eighteen-minute interview with editor Brian Smedley-Aston who shares various stories about his career as well as the film SYMPTOMS. The majority of the running time here has Smedley-Aston talking about his career including how he got into the business, what it was like working with Joseph Larraz as well as other projects that he worked on. This featurette is included on the Mondo Macabro release of SYMPTOMS but there's not too much discussion when it comes to that film. Instead, this is more of a look at Smedley-Aston's entire career and on that level alone it's worth watching. There's no question that the editor has some nice stories to share, although I do wish a little more had been focused on the film in question. Still, this is very much worth watching for what it is.
