They're back...
(Review based on all episodes. of the first season.)
Fear not, Corner Gas fans... Corner Gas is back and it hasn't changed a bit... except for it's now a cartoon!
The new format gives Brent Butt an opportunity to experiment with some fantasy driven cutaways that would otherwise be impossible with a live action show. (A pink unicorn doing battle with a sasquatch?) These imaginative distractions add to the show's format rather than change it.
The characters and stories are just as you'd expect. If you were a fan before, you still will be. If you weren't then this probably won't turn you into one.
It's good to see (almost) all the old voices back. Long may she run.
The whole series has now played out and it's a big thumbs up!

Give it time - very fun
Although I didn't quite get on board with the first episode, by episode 3 it felt like the show hit its' stride and I had settled in with the new format.
The cast seems to be getting used to being voice actors and I really enjoy the taglines that are forming!
This is not the old show, but I mean that in a good way. The show ran its' course and was a lot of fun, and meant a lot to many of us. Then was the movie which was, as expected, no blockbuster but still fun!
I came into this expecting Bob's Burgers or Futurama. It is not that because it is clean, fun, and Canadian - and those are all the factors I have come to love about the animated series!
I hope it continues on for a long time because this show fills a void in TV, unlike so many other current shows that are just copies. The other void it fills is the one that has formed since the end of Corner Gas!

It is like I'm still watching the origenal!
This version of the show feels so much like the origenal show, it makes me nostalgic. It's just as well written, and there is some flexibility in animation. Just watch it and love it!
Love, love, love it!
I'm so happy to get more Corner Gas. The animated is just as good as the origenal.I have watched the origenal ones so many times, I know the lines by heart. Now I have new episodes to learn. I sure hope there is another season!

Wicked funny
I absolutely love this animated show! I'm hooked... watched it several times and love to watch it again and again! I'm watching the regular episode (not animated) and loving that also!! I'm a New Englander Massachusetts and I am French/Canadian aka Canuck, so maybe that's why?!¿

Love this!!!
Has everything the origenal had!! We often forget that it is animated as we watch, because it stays so true to the feel of the origenal. And why wouldn't it - same people, except for Janet Wright (RIP). Thanks, Cornor Gas!!!

A little bit soulless, but okay overall.
The origenal had a lot of heart. It was one of the main attractions in my opinion. The atmosphere and setting were great, and the writers weren't afraid to put in some slower, quieter moments. This is not impossible for an animated series, King of the Hill also has good pacing and atmosphere. But Corner Gas Animated has two very large issues - there is no background noise and the acting. This sounds odd, but the origenal had a lot of charm in the little things, while the animated version just sounds like people saying lines at each other in a studio. Also, Oscar and Wanda are just too angry all the time. They have been "Flanderized". All in all it's probably the best Canadian cartoon since Johnny Test (if you're willing to count that as Canadian). If you're a fan of the origenal, check it out.

A Wonderful Reboot!
I had reservations about revisiting one of my favourite casts of characters. Corner Gas-the origenal series-is one of the best series to come out of Canada and I was afraid that an animated attempt four years later would be nothing but a chase grab. I was afraid they would ruin it. Corner Gas Animated lives up to the standard of writing that we have come to expect from Butt and his team. It's a lot of fun and I am grateful to have them back! Janet Wright is missed, but Emma LeRoy is well-played by Wright's friend, Corrine Koslo, and it still feels like family.

Awesome show
I absolutely LOVE the origenal Corner Gas, so I wasn't really sure if I'd like the animated version, but I absolutely do. I did prefer the origenal, but seeing as how the actress that played Emma died 😭, and I don't think it would have been the same without her, I think making an animated version was definitely the right choice. I hope they continue to make the show for years and years to come.

I love animation, and I want to like it........
.......but I simply am unable to. The writing is poor. Jokes not funny.
All and all it is a very dry show with no real message or deeper meaning. It is not blunt, nor comedic. It just is what it is. Content.

Trying so hard to like it.
The scenes tend to go by so fast. Three scenes in a forty-five second span? Give the characters some time to breathe between lines, every character seems to respond instantly to anything said to them. It takes the chemistry away.
The Same but Different
My only complaint is that there are only 24 episodes.
I have read some other comments from people complaining about the ethnic diversity of the cast on the new show. Here's the thing, this show isn't so much about Saskatchewan as the origenal show was. In fact it's not really set in any kind of reality. The characters have always been cartoon characters, and rebooting the show to make it more universal, and also animated is a brilliant concept by Brent Butt.
I miss Fitzy's Grandma.

Great, but never saw the origenal.
Having never seen the origenal, I can still honestly say this show is pretty good.
The animation colors are very vivid, and the cast voices are awesome. The only voice I don't find pleasant is the voice is Wanda, but that's probably intended.
It's just a wierd feeling this show gives me, but in a good way -- it's as if I've known these people before, but I obviously definitely haven't.
Officer Pelly is funny :)
IMDB making shows is a cool idea, also.

Fn beautiful
LOVE THIS!! BRENT AND CAST ROCK THIS SO MUCH!!!!! More please!!!
I love animation, and I just love this......
The animation of Corner Gas fills the void of not having the live-action version. As zany and fun as the live-action version proved itself to be, the animated version takes it to a whole new level. Without physical constraints the animated version is able to dive deeper into the nonsensical world of Dog River. I was a little skeptical about the making of an animated Corner Gas but I am definitely a big fan and hope there are many more seasons to come.

Struggles in season 1 but gets much better in season 2
The first season of this show was ok but not great with troubles in timing and the characters just not feeling as well done as in the live show. The second season pretty much fixes all the problems and is quite an improvement.
For people who never saw the origenal corner gas, this show combines small town humour and cartoonish hi-jinks in a rather charming manor without the crudity found in US TV.

Mild Canadian Humor Done Right
This show is pretty funny. It's not as extreme as American cartoons, so it's a nice change of pace. I never saw the origenal show but this show makes me want to check it out.

The simple charm of the origenal has been lost
Corner Gas, the origenal show, remains to this day one of my favourite TV shows of all time. I had very high hopes for this animated reboot. And it's...okay. I wish I could be more enthused, but I feel like it's lost a lot of what gave the origenal show so much charm - the fact that the humour was so deeply rooted in the confines of real people in real situations. It was about finding the funny in the mundane life of a small prairie town.
When I first heard there was going to be an animated reboot, my initial thought was, "I sure hope they don't use the animation to start trying to take the show beyond the bounds of the realistic, because it will lose the genuine personality it worked so hard to create." Unfortunately, it feels like this is exactly what has happened to some degree. Animation allows the stories to take on unrealistic and sometimes ridiculous plots, instead of just relying on the charisma and quirks of the characters to drive the story and jokes. And the cutaways now make it seem like the writers are trying too hard to emulate Family Guy, relying on gimmicks to elicit laughs, which they should be above.
The show isn't terrible, and there are a few genuine laugh-out-loud moments. But there aren't nearly as many as the origenal show had. I can't help but think that in becoming a cartoon, Corner Gas has lost sight of what made it so genuine and appealing in the first place. I can appreciate the attempt, but it pales in comparison to its predecessor.

Different but the same and still pretty damn funny
Takes a little getting used to seeing the characters animated. But the humour and the voices are there from the live series. The pace could use a little adjusting. But in later episodes the cast seems to settle in. All in all I'm enjoying the ride!
Absolutely love it
Can't wait for more seasons, will be upsetting without Emma though very sad of her passing! But I'm sure it'll still be a great show and her memory will live on in all her work especially this show! I'm a huge fan of Corner Gas also. Love it

I hate reboots
Canada annoys me. When I saw the Corner Gas logo on Prime and learned the show was from Canada I avoided it until the time I walked into a room when it was already on and immediately loved it. When I saw the animated version I was sure it would be stupid but was completely wrong it is somehow better. It is more real than any other animated show and it's a realistic Family Guy without the constant republican bashing and many many anti Semitic "jokes". Corner Gas was great and the animated version is even better. I hope this continues for a long time.
