The young actress is so talented!
OMG!! Regina Hall is totaly tailored to her character. She brought her character to alive!! Her attitude in the movie is so funny! Also, the young actress is super talented. She is going to shine in Hollywood. The storyline is okay but I really enjoy their acting.

Lighthearted fun from another time
Each performance in this movie is a winner. The laughs come naturally. 3 black female comic geniuses in one film is a tremendous accomplishment. I don't remember anything like this happening in film history. I think that the main problem was that Marsai Martin, plays an adult to well. Anyone that has seen her on Blackish knows, Diane was born 45 yrs old. In the scenes where she is with other children, there is no sense that she is childlike at all. It is at the Climax, finally, that we see a young girl just having fun. Other than that Little is a great movie for tweens and parents of tweens.

Marsai Martin is extraordinary
I found this lame and cringy
This movie was trying to be funny, but didn't manage it and just came across as lame and cheesy. The acting left something to be desired, and I honestly just spent the whole film thinking "when is it gonna end? I'm bored". I don't recommend it.

Average movie
First off this movie was way too long for what it was. The story was the same as many before it. There were some funny moments, but the length of the film made you feel restless waiting for it to end

Relaxing, amusing fun
All of the cast are comedically talented and clearly committed to the film, making it a worthwhile, easy watch. Unfortunately, it could have used some attention to pacing at times, and I'm surprised they didn't hear that from test audiences and heed it before they completed the final cut. It's genuinely enjoyable overall, though, and a lighthearted escapist visit to the movies. (And I'm personally thankful for some relief from way too many DC and Marvel flicks clogging up theater screens everywhere).

I don't get it
This movie is trash. I dont understand how this got a theatrical release. The comedy is off, the editing is stifled and choppy, disconnected, and doesn't have any flow from one element to the next. I literally thought that I had zoned out for five minutes because I was somewhere else in the movie and didn't know how I got there.
I love this genre. It is really hard for me not to like this genre. I love 17 again, 13 going on 30, big, like father like son, freaky Friday, you name it. This was garbage. How do you screw this up?! I left the theater in the middle of the movie. I've never done that! I was embarrassed to watch it. The weird thing was the people with me in the theater were laughing tits at it. I still don't get it.

Enjoyable watch
The movie lacked a strong story, making the plot wishy washy and jumpy that being said, it was still a very enjoyable movie.
The belly shaking laughs were mainly in the first half of the movie. It grew less funny when once the transformation actually happened.
Regina Halls role was executed very well and what made it more funny was that the characters were relatable to my own life. I feel if you cannot relate it to yourself, then this movie may not be for you.

Overall, inappropriate.
It had its funny moments, but I don't appreciate the sexual advances of a young child on grown men. That was disturbing and disgusting. It would have been so much better to keep things cute and funny.

If The Trailer Made You Laugh, So Will The Movie
This won't be an in depth review. This is in case people are judging by the currently low stars. I'm wondering if those those people actually saw the movie because I laughed the whole time, as did all the other people in the crowded theater i was in.
Yeah, there's been other movies with similar plots, but this was a fresh and modern take without being over the top pc like so much of what comes out of Hollywood today. Rather than be lectured by a movie, I want to take a break from my own responsibilities, be entertained, and in this case laugh. This did that.
I was incredibly impressed by Marsai Martin. I was very surprised at how seamlessly she stepped into the grown character and made it feel like I was really watching the mini version of the character I'd just seen Regina Hall playing.
If you're debating, just go see it.

Switching and all is not a new idea ,, but It's definitely likable
So the idea of switching bodies and girl going young and all is not new .. how it all ends is kinda expected .. but it is a sweet movie ... the cast are likable bunch of people i think they made it look somewhat good.
I previously watched Marsai Martin in Blackish ,, so i like the little girl from before and I "for a bit" expected that she'll embrace her role of that strong a$$ smart "evil-ish" kid so it was good.. also loved Regina Hall and Issa Rae as much ..
The movie fine mixture of mediocre Fantasy and above average comedy .. watched it ;)

Terrible reverse-version of Big
It's hard to tell who this movie is for, children or adults. It's too boring for adults but many adult scenes make it unsuitable for children. The worst thing is that it's unbearable to watch if you are sitting next to your children to watch it in a "family night". My mother and sister fell asleep, and if I wasn't hungry/in need of a bathroom, I would have too. Speaking of which, it's impossibly long for what it is. It does not use time effectively at all. It's poorly written and detailed where it shouldn't while undetailed where it should. I can only praise it's diverse cast, but it's ruined with poor lines, poor jokes and overall terrible plot.
The concept in Big, is exploring what a creative and eager mind of a child, could do with the "freedom" of an adult; it was basically, magical. This movie, on the other hand, very poorly explores the bitterness of childhood. Not only it was not magical, but barely anything of the plot relied on being "little", but rather most of the plot centered on the adult life of the "little" person. Because, so *little* emphasis was dedicated to the young life of the main character, conflict resolution felt poorly executed, unrealistic and essentially, corny and cringe-worthy as hell. One of the reasons I was talked into watching this movie was the acting of the child main character, which, was ok, but not enough to make the movie one bit interesting. There are one, or two laughs in the movie as well, and for a moment, one might thing the movie is not totally hopeless, but you'll soon noticed that you'll be disappointed. Also, it's crazy how lots of reviews are essentially *bad* reviews, but they give the movie scores like 6/10. I think they just want to be "kind" or maybe they are shy about giving bad reviews a bad score. Or maybe they think 6/10 is a bad score, but don't be fooled. This movie is a solid 1/10, at most 2/10 if you are a child, perhaps.

Front Runner for Worst Film of 2019
This movie was so bad I had to write my first review. Not sure how this was even cleared to go to theaters. Absolutely cringe worthy with atrocious acting. I don't even know what else to say. Save your time and money. Water evaporating from a cup is much better entertainment than this.
Lots of Fun In Little Time, But Needs Some Refinement
Terrible - Don't Let the Planted Reviewers Fool You
Along with a friend, I saw this back in February as part of a preview screening. We were both asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement which prevented us from posting reviews online prior to now. Totally understandable, as the movie is complete and utter garbage and the studio obviously didn't want bad reviews up before its release.
There are a number of "reviews" giving this film 9 - or even 10 - out of 10. Sockpuppetry at it's finest. For example, see "beliiu"'s review. A brand new member giving a stinker like this 10 out of 10? Hmmmm...
Anyway, to the film itself: my friend and I walked out after an hour - and we *never* do that. The acting is incredibly bad, the jokes fall completely flat; it's simply terrible. As others have alluded to, this movie has been made before and made much, much better in the past (Tom Hanks in 1988's "Big", for example).
Please don't waste your time or money on this movie. As I write this, the IMDB rating sits at 5.4 out of 10. Clearly, the ratings are being manipulated. Don't be fooled. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I generally don't bother writing reviews, but the blatant sockpuppetry and rating manipulation going on here got my back up. If I can save one person from wasting their valuable time and money, I'll consider it my good deed for the week. Thanks for reading.

Not impressive
It sucks cause that trailer made this look like it was going to be the funniest movie around, but the follow up from the producers of Girls Trip, made a movie not as funny as Girls Trip.
I'm gonna say it's attempt to appeal to both 38 year old women and the 13 year olds they may turn into pulls this movie in two directions and loosened whatever hold they tried to have on me.
The joke got repetitive. The movie is about a grown women stuck in a child's body and they ran with it but it got tired real quick.
Decent acting was a saving grace, but could not save a plot that seems worn out from the very frist scene.

Marsai Martin has potential
Typical but cute. Definitely designed for the fairer sex (not to sound chauvinistic). Appeared all the females in the theater really enjoyed it. And I wouldn't call it a chick flick but ....
Enjoyed watch young Marsai Martin in something else.

Oh come on people...
Seriously, people need to lighten up and simmer down. This movie was cute and had plenty of funny parts (more than just what the commercials showed). It's not like an award winning sort of movie, where it leaves you thinking deep about what is life or saving the world from pollution or stuff like that lol.. it's a lighthearted chill movie.

Stop making these types of movies
There is no option to put a zero rating. This is terrible. It is made just for money. Can people stop making these types of movies please? How did this movie sell any tickets? No more businessmen changed into something else to change their personality.

A little entertainment goes a long way.
All in all, 'Little (2019)' is a '2-star' movie with a '3-star' execution. It's not fantastic, by any means, but it's better than it perhaps ought to be. It tells a generic tale in a generic way but does it well enough that you not only don't mind but that you're also entertained, essentially, all the way through, more or less wrapped up in the predictably ridiculous, if strangely satisfying, machinations of the pseudo body-swap story. The basic premise is that it's 'Big (1988)' except she's 'little' and the movie goes through the usual motions associated with this sort of narrative - wherein a magical circumstance forces a character to confront their flaws and, hopefully, change for the better - but it does a decent job with most of them, even if it has maybe one too many sub-plots to be classed as especially 'focused'. It's a testament to the writing that you can truly dislike the lead character at the beginning, when she's grown, and then come to care for her as the plot progresses. It's not like her motivations are ever a mystery but they're well-rounded enough to feel believable, both before and after they begin to change. Martin really is great as the little Hall, feeling like an extension as opposed to a replacement. Hall herself puts in a decent effort but occasionally seems slightly too broad for the established tone. Rae, cast in a role that constantly vies for protagonist status, is also good. However, her character sometimes seems a little more forthcoming than you'd think she would be (personal growth notwithstanding). Still, both central figures fully undergo expected yet satisfying arcs. To that end, the story itself comes together fairly nicely, rounding itself off before devolving ever-so-slightly for a 'dance-party'-esque final scene, despite the fact that it plays out, essentially, exactly as you'd expect. It does feel a tad long, though. The whole thing is just quite likeable, in a way. It's never exactly funny but it's never unfunny, either, and - while it may not be fresh or, even, especially deep - it's enjoyable enough. It's also never boring. At the end of the day, a little entertainment goes a long way. 6/10

Too shallow with lack of moral message for youth
I found this movie too shallow, with lack of moral message for young kids.
However, the young girl has very big potential,
However, the young girl has very big potential,
I wouldn't see it again
There are a lot of bad reviews on here, and I agree with most of the points they make. I wouldn't call it unwatchable trash, but it was bad enough that my friend and I were disappointed that we spent our Friday night watching it. And bad enough that I wanted to leave a review.
To be honest, I hadn't seen any of the leads in anything before, so I can't speak to their acting in a general sense. But the absolute BEST part of this movie was the young actress who played Jordan Sanders' little self. I thought she did an amazing job not only at being an adult in a child's body, but making it believable that it was that specific adult. Her mannerisms, her speech, her facial expressions...I loved watching her the whole time.
I couldn't really tell if Regina Hall's acting was terrible, or if she did what she could with the script that she had. Early on in the movie, she reacts to something that happens to her, and it was such an over-the-top, exaggerated reaction that I was sure the reaction would be played off as a joke. It wasn't.
Issa Rae was somewhere in the middle, not overwhelmingly good, but not completely terrible. There was literally nothing memorable from her outside of what was in the trailer.
It was amazing to see an all black, all female leading cast in a comedy movie, but for as predictable as the whole thing was, it lacked the charm to make it worthwhile. In my humble opinion.
But seriously. Marsai Martin was phenomenal. For being the "magical" part of the movie, she was actually the most believable thing about it.
