Gig guide: Beyoncé at Manchester Arena

The Texan beauty comes to Manchester for three nights in May as the Mrs Carter Show World Tour rumbles into town

Beyonce

Pop royalty Beyoncé comes to town for three sell-out nights with her The Mrs Carter Show World Tour.

The siren has already wowed audiences across Europe with shows in Paris, Budapest and Zagreb and her show has landed for the mammoth UK leg-of of the tour, starting in Birmingham on April 26.

Ticket sales broke numerous records in the UK alone, selling out in minutes, forcing the Texas singer to announce additional dates.

It has been a long wait for fans since the release of best-selling fourth studio album, 4, in 2011 but they will not be disappointed as the superstar has packed a massive 33 songs in her set.

Fan favourites such as Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, Best Thing I Never had, Love on Top, End of Time and Run the World (Girls) all make the cut for what promises to be a show packed with high quality choreography, colourful costumes and extravagant lighting and set design.

After taking time out during her pregnancy and to raise baby Blue Ivy, Beyoncé announced herself back on the scene in true diva style at the Superbowl earlier this year. She also shared the stage with her fellow Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams (see video below)

Her spectacular half-time show won plaudits across the globe and whet the appetite for The Mrs Carter Show which was announced shortly afterwards.
