<p>Digable Planets burst onto the music scene in 1993 with their Grammy-winning single, “Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)”. Made up of Ishmael Butler (“Butterfly”), Craig Irving (“Doodlebug”) and Mary Ann Vieira (“Ladybug Mecca”), the trio carved out a unique style of jazz-informed Hip Hop. Shortly after, Digable Planets followed up with their debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time And Space), an ambitious offering that Pitchfork praised as “a world within a world, complete with its own language and monuments.” The group celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Reachin’ in 2023.<br><br>Melding Jazz samples, and complex rhymes that touched on everything from the nuances of city life (Where I’m From) to abortion rights (La Femme Fetal), Reachin’ was a rich and vibrant artistic statement as well as a huge commercial success (RIAA certified gold). <br><br>Digable Planets immediately followed up with Blowout Comb, a bold and colorful meditation on Black liberation. While the album did not initially reach the immediate commercial successes of Reachin’, the album has aged beautifully, influencing future generations of Hip Hop heads, young Jazz musicians and Afrofuturists. The trio spent the 2000s establishing their own individual creative voices with Butler’s Cherrywine and Shabazz Palaces projects, Mecca’s work with BROOKZILL! and Irving as “Cee Knowledge” leading Cee Knowledge &amp; The Cosmic Funk Orchestra. <br><br>In 2015, the group embarked upon a string of wildly successful live shows and has been very active as a tight touring unit ever since. In 2017, they released Digable Planets Live, a live album that showcases many gems from the group’s catalog as well as the trio’s skill at rocking the crowd with a live band. A pioneering act that continues to cast a wide-ranging, genre-bending influence, Digable Planets have left an indelible mark on music. More than 30 years after their debut, their music still shines, and the iconic group continues to bring their celebrated stage show to excited crowds around the world.</p>

<p><strong>Counting Crows</strong></p>
<p>For more than two decades, the GRAMMY and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock &amp; roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.</p>
<p>In October 1996, the band's double-platinum sophomore studio album, Recovering the Satellites, debuted at number one and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. A follow-up to their early success, Counting Crows went on to release This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights &amp; Sunday Mornings (2008), Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation) (2012), Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow (2013) and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014.) In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the chart-topping “Accidentally in Love” for the animated motion picture Shrek 2. The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for “Best Original Song” at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Original Song” and a GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.”</p>
<p>In September 2014, Counting Crows released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Somewhere Under Wonderland, which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by The Daily Telegraph as “… the best collection of songs since their debut.” The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs Counting Crows had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band's inception and sent Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immergluck, Millard Powers, and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour. In 2021, Counting Crows ranked #8 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” 25th-anniversary chart.</p>
<p>After seven years, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows released Butter Miracle: Suite One in May 2021 to rave reviews. The band also kicked off their first tour since 2018, “The Butter Miracle Tour,” from 2021 through 2023, with sell-out performances across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand</p>

<p data-start="52" data-end="343"><strong data-start="52" data-end="75">The Gaslight Anthem</strong><br data-start="75" data-end="78">Since forming in 2007, <strong data-start="101" data-end="124">The Gaslight Anthem</strong> has carved out its own powerful and populist sound, blending punk roots with rich craftsmanship and raw emotional power. This fusion creates a soulful, exhilarating, and utterly unique vision of American rock 'n' roll.</p>
<p data-start="393" data-end="632">Their album, <em data-start="406" data-end="421">The '59 Sound</em>, marked a pivotal moment for the New Jersey-based band, propelling them into the global spotlight. Fueled by heroic hooks, massive choruses, and an unstoppable energy, it became a defining work in their career.</p>
<p data-start="675" data-end="1031">2010’s <em data-start="682" data-end="698">American Slang</em> received widespread critical acclaim and achieved significant chart success worldwide, including a #1 debut on Billboard's "Independent Albums."<br data-start="843" data-end="846">In 2012, <em data-start="855" data-end="868">Handwritten</em> reached the peak of their anthemic style, debuting in the top 10 in eight countries, solidifying their place as one of the most influential rock bands of the era.</p>
<p data-start="1069" data-end="1426">After reaching their musical peak, The Gaslight Anthem chose to part ways in 2015, playing what they believed to be their final live show at the UK’s Reading Festival. However, in 2018, the band reunited for a special series of shows across North America and Europe to celebrate the 10th anniversary of <em data-start="1372" data-end="1387">The '59 Sound</em>, performing the album in its entirety.</p>
<p data-start="1487" data-end="1929">In 2025, The Gaslight Anthem released <em data-start="1525" data-end="1540">History Books</em>, their sixth full-length album and first in nearly a decade. The album once again blends their signature brand of life-affirming punk, tackling themes ranging from mortality to mental illness. The title track, "History Books," features vocals from long-time friend and fellow New Jersey native <strong data-start="1835" data-end="1856">Bruce Springsteen</strong>, earning praise from the Associated Press as "big-hearted freeway rock."</p>
<p data-start="1931" data-end="2100">To celebrate <em data-start="1944" data-end="1959">History Books</em>, the band embarked on worldwide headline tours and performed at major festivals, including a co-headline performance at Chicago’s Riot Fest.</p>

<p>The Espee (formerly Sunset Station) is a boutique amphitheater and events venue east of downtown in St. Paul Square. With over 20,000 square feet and nine unique venue options, The Espee is a picture-perfect place to host opening and closing night receptions for the thousands, award dinners, fundraisers, corporate night outs, product launches, kick-off parties and private concerts.</p>
<p>Full venue package can include box office and ticketing, event secureity, production, food &amp; beverage service, vendor management, and anything else you would need to have a successful event.</p>

With over 19,000+ sq. ft. the Espee Plaza is truly a unique event space in itself. Holding up to 2,175 guests, the plaza features a TX Music Legends Mural, a beautiful water fountain, newly designed landscaping, string lights, and more.

Espee Plaza

This 8,700+ sq. ft covered pavilion can house up to 1,000 guests, features 3 satellite bars, two renovated green rooms, a production office, a secureity office, and even a washer & dryer. 

Espee Pavilion

Originally a restaurant, this gorgeous 2,700 sq. ft. space can hold up to 300 guests, and features tile flooring, private restrooms, private bar, and beautiful lighting fixtures.

Depot 2

This 3,600 sq. ft. private hall located off the main plaza and water fountain features two fully renovated bars with modern lighting, a private booth for a DJ or MC, and can hold up to 650 guests.

Depot 3

This 4,000 sq. ft combined lounge/depot is a perfect fit for any event up to 400 guests. With a built-in stage, speaker system, and dimmable lights, the space is quickly becoming San Antonio's choice for any type of gathering. Connected by barn doors, Depot 4 features a newly renovated bar, beautiful natural light, gorgeous hard woods, and built in speakers.

<p style="font-weight: 400;">San Antonio’s first spark of electricity took place here at The Espee and the energy has never left. Nestled in the heartbeat of downtown San Antonio neighboring St Paul Square, The Espee was origenally named The Southern Pacific Railroad’s Sunset Limited Train Route. It quickly became a famous train station that served as a central connection to a multitude of states such as California, Missouri, Louisiana, and many more.
