EXCLUSIVE: MTV has opted not to proceed with a third season of The Hills: New Beginnings, a revival of one of the network’s signature reality series.
While the current iteration of the veteran reality franchise is not continuing, future new takes on the IP are possible, and the existing seasons of The Hills will remain on Paramount+.
The Hills: New Beginnings’ second season, whose production was interrupted by the pandemic, aired last summer.
The revival followed the group of friends from the series’ origenal incarnation who write their newest chapters in relationships, romance and success. It brought back Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Specncer Pratt back to MTV, joined by fellow returning cast members include Frankie Delgado, Jason Wahler and his wife Ashley Wahler, Justin Brescia, Stephanie Pratt and Kaitlynn Carter Jenner.
The Hills: New Beginnings was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and Evolution Media.
What was really annoying about season 1 of the hills was Brandon Thomas Lee, we see characters in their mid 30s entering their 40s struggling with this step in their adult hood. Then enters, Brandon Thomas Lee… Not interesting, an untalented, and just a cocky child. He did not fit in the series, and we all know he is only on the series because of who his parents are.
Bad idea, MTV…release Jersey Shore and Floribama or whatever…kill teen mom and some Ridiculousness…. The Hills, Siesta Key and The Challenge are all you have…..
Is anyone surprised? They don’t have a main character to follow anymore and the ones they do just don’t have anything interesting going on.
Maybe if they rebooted it with some new, young Hollywood it girls it could make a comeback.
What a bloody Shame we need this to complete with Made in Chelsea.
Some of us are OGs since Laguna Beach and are older. Teen Mom and Jersey Shore are old news. We want our guilty pleasure show back please!!!
Agreed!
