Former SB Nation Site Manager Files Lawsuit Against Vox Media For Alleged Labor Law Violations

A former SB Nation site manager filed a collective action lawsuit against Vox Media today in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Cheryl Bradley was site manager for the Colorado Avalanche team site called Mile High Hockey from 2013 to 2015, according to the lawsuit. Bradley said she regularly worked 30 to 40 hours a week and received a stipend of $125 per month. The lawsuit claims Bradley and other SB Nation team site workers are employees and therefore subject to certain wage and hour protections that Vox Media did not meet.
The lawsuit, filed by James Goodley of Jennings Sigmond, can be found below. Bradley’s complaint comes a few weeks after Deadspin published a report about how SB Nation and Vox Media profit off of unpaid and underpaid workers who run the “team” or “fan” sites.
