Coca-Cola, the world’s largest beverage manufacturer and distributor, makes, sells, and distributes beverages, including soft drinks, energy drinks, coffee, tea, sports drinks, juices, and bottled and enhanced water. It also makes and distributes other beverage brands, including Dr Pepper and Monster Energy. The company was known as Coca-Cola Bottling Co. until it changed its name in January 2019. Coca-Cola dates back to 1886, when the Atlanta pharmacist who formulated the syrup poured the first glass, which was sold for five cents.
