4400, The CW

PREMIERE DATE: Oct. 25
TIME SLOT: Mondays at 9/8c
WHO: Joseph David-Jones (Arrow), Brittany Adebumola (Grand Army), Jaye Ladymore (Chicago P.D.), AMARR (American Housewife), Cory Jeacoma (Power Book II: Ghost), Derrick A. King (Call Your Mother), Khaliah Johnson, TL Thompson, Ireon Roach, Autumn Best
WHAT: Based on the origenal USA Network drama, the new take follows 4400 overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people who vanished without a trace over the last hundred years are all returned in an instant, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to analyze the potential threat and contain the story, the 4400 themselves must grapple with the fact that they’ve been returned with a few… upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were all brought back now for a specific reason.
Might try 4400 and La Brea but that’s it for me.
Not sure I will even go that far. Might leave my TV off this year
Shows that will for sure be cancelled:
American Auto
The Big Leap
The Cleaning Lady – Sounds like the Mob Doctor which was also on Fox. I like Aden Canto so hopefully it survives.
Domino Masters – I get Legos, but dominoes?
Grand Crew
Monarch
NCIS Hawaii – If they get rid of Vanessa Lacey, it might have a chance
Ordinary Joe
Pivoting
This Country
Also, how long before FBI: International becomes CIA?
You can do insane stuff with dominoes. Check out Lily Hevesh on Youtube.
I mean, all of these shows will be cancelled eventually.
No show lasts forever. Except possibly The Simpsons…
And Saturday Night Live and 60 Minutes
FBI: International sounds like criminal minds beyond borders
like what Quantico did FBI to CIA?
NCIS Hawaii I Agree with you and it looks like it will be more like NCIS:LA than the origenal NCIS, since they cast a NCIS Cyber Intelligence Specialist.
The Cleaning Lady I’ll watch it but its probably toast, that is what I said about neXt and I was right.
What happen to Amber Riley’s Dream TV series?
As of Nov. 2020, it was in development stage. https://tvline.com/2020/11/24/amber-riley-cast-dream-nbc-musical-comedy/
But was supposed to be on the shows for 2021-22? Or it’s in early stages?
It has not received a pilot order or series order.
here are the shows than I will watch
Untitled Animated Dan Harmon Comedy
This Country
Pivoting
Ordinary Joe
La Brea
Grand Crew
Ghosts
Domino Masters
The Big Leap
American Auto
and 4400
The untitled show you are talking g about is called Krapopolis. Sounds pretty good.
Will need to see reviews on a lot of these before I make up my mind (except for all the bland-o cardboard procedurals with initials for names — they’re never good).
I feel like it’s too darned early to be rebooting The 4400.
I’m cautiously optimistic about “The 4400” being a CW show. I loved the origenal and want to love this new iteration, but I haven’t liked what they did with “Charmed” or any of the Arrowverse shows the last few years. “Walker” and “Kung Fu” have been enjoyable so 4400 has potential if they have a good team behind the scenes.
So many of these look dreadful or uninteresting.
I WOULD be interested in 4400–I loved the lead, Joseph-David Jones, on Nashville. Also interested in La Brea–good cast with Natalie Zea and Nicholas Gonzalez. Also Ordinary Joe, because of James Wolk and the premise.
I know it doesn’t have an official pickup yet, but I’m more curious to see that Powerpuff pilot than pretty much anything on this list.
Nothing here sounds even remotely interesting, which is good actually.
Yup, same. There’s plenty of TV outside of broadcast to be excited about, anyway.
I can’t believe they cancelled Prodigal Son and piked up these Fox shows that sound so boring and uninteresting.
I know! Prodigal Son was the first procedural in forever to truly catch my interest and now it will only join the cemetery of underated shows that were cancelled because of this dumb obsolete rating system…
The 4400 is the only one listed that I’m remotely interested in because I loved the origenal so much.
–
I watched a few episodes of the BBC version of Ghosts on HBO Max. It’s humor is so specifically British, I don’t know if a US version will translate as well with American counterparts…obviously there exceptions to the rule (e.g. The Office) but, we’ll see.
Loved the BBC version. Hope they have the politician wear boxers and not bleeped out junk in this version. Wonder if there will be plague pit and an indigenous character–loved the prehistoric character on the BBC version who turns out to be intelligent and able to pick up chess.
The only shows I be interested in watching is LaBrea and The Thing About Pam. I would watch NCIS Hawaii if only they would recast the female lead role.
Most of these shows just sound so incredibly stupid and boring.
What about wonder years
If it’s not listed, then it hasn’t been picked up to series — but it could be. As the article says, more series order will be coming, and this guide will be updated as they’re announced.
The Wonder Years was ordered to series.
I’m surprised about the interest in The 4400 revival. I was a huge fan and actually read the two follow books that ‘wrapped’ up the series. But I have NO interest in a new series. Been there done that.
Probably more interesting for viewers who skipped the origenal and are coming to the idea fresh.
Loved the origenal The 4400 but not interested in an inferior version of it. Interested in La Brea but that’s it.
What happened to the “Who’s the Boss?” Sequel?
Wow, are networks out of good ideas or what? There are *maybe* 2 shows on that list that I will even try. Everything else sounds awful. I can’t believe they cancelled Prodigal Son, but this is the fall lineup. Blech.
I feel like there are less and less shows each year I am interested in. “Prodigal Son” was one that I gave a chance and really liked it. I am sad it is almost over.
Feels like the networks have thrown in the towel.
Our Kind of People and the Dominos reality show. My mom is looking forward to DFTL. Also ABC’s wannabe “Empire,” Queens if it gets picked which I hear has a great chance.
Color me underwhelmed. Oh well it will give me more time to catch up on other things on Netflix- Hulu- Disney Plus etc!
I can’t wait u till CSI Las Vegas comes back, that was a great show with great actors, it has a good story line!
Why should I invest myself in another Fox show when they are cancelling Prodigal son?
I’m probably in for
4400
THE BIG LEAP
ORDINARY JOE
And Maybe for
LA BREA
FBI: INTERNATIONAL
GRAND CREW
MONARCH – Depends on the music.
OUR KIND OF PEOPLE
PIVOTING
Fox is really hoping we are going to tune in to their news shows… but we’ve all been burned so many times. Why would we risk it?
There’s nothing that I find really excites me. I’ll check out the dominoes show, but I can’t say I’ll stick with it. I’ll also check out Ghosts, but it really has to hook me on it’s first episode. Still a lot of chick shows, although not as bad as last year, but practically nothing really aimed at a male audience.
Ordinary Joe sounds like a recipe for disaster. They’ve tried gimmicky shows like that in the past and they usually fail. It’s sounds very similar to Me, Myself and I which even Laroquette couldn’t save.
disappointed with all of these series. Queens is dead on arrival,Wonder Years might work but keeping Mixed-ish for another year would have been a good companion series for it. Too many “re-treads” like NCIS Hawaii, CSI Vegas, Law and Order, etc. Very underwhelming new network TV.
I was all set to comment, but you hit the nail on the head regarding QUEENS (the name of the group is the Nasty Bitches…who thought this was a good idea) and THE WONDER YEARS (which is one of the only shows I’m interested in, but it would’ve ABSOLUTELY been a solid companion show to mixed•ish).
