Sad News: R.I.P. Zebby

Kat,
I went to your blog the day after I called you. I knew you would post the sad news. It has been good for us (Brooks and I) to read the kind words of all of the people who have commented. We both can't stop crying. I want Zebby back. I loved that guy. He woke us up in the morning. He called for me when he didn't know where I was in the house. I'd have to call back to him and literately tell him what room I was in and he'd come strolling to find me. He loved his canned food. He'd get it after we combed him every evening (to keep the mats away). He'd cry for me to come to him and give him arm pitter rubs. We both miss him dearly. It was all so sudden. We didn't get to pamper him at the end or give him a million kisses goodbye. I want him back. I loved him so much. He was so special, only with us for less than 2 years. I want him back. It will take a long while for us to stop crying (doesn't feel like we ever will). Please let everyone know how much we appreciate the special words. Thank you for being his first mom. Darcy.

I recieved a call from Darcy this morning with news that our sweet Zebby Boo had gone to the Bridge. I think he passed this past Monday and it was sudden, making it all the more difficult for Darcy. He had a vet visit last Saturday and the vet asked Darcy if she'd noticed him having difficulty breathing. She hadn't and they just assumed he was a bit stressed about being at the vet. What cat wouldn't be stressed, right? Then a friend had come to visit and said to Darcy that Zebby was having breathing troubles and so she quickly took him back to vet. He went quickly downhill and was really not doing good once she arrived at the vet. So, they put him on oxygen and did an x-ray which showed Zeb to have an enlarged heart and fluid around his lungs. The vet decided to keep him overnight (my details may not be exact, sorry if they're not Darcy). He ended up passing late that night. Zebby was a special kitty and he will be missed! You can leave Darcy your condolences here and then she can look at them when she is ready. Rest in peace sweet Zebby...we love you.

Here's mah toesies, closies up. Aren't my claws nice and sharp and fierce looking? Guess what? Meowmie said I needed a trim. So she chopp-ted them off! Oh well, I's will jus haf to go and sharpen 'em up.


Dis is our NOMS friend Keros (cure-oz). Ross fur short.

Him is a German Shepherd and him's name, Keros, is also German. Him belongs two our meowmie's sisfur who liffes in the sticks (W.VA). Him was much loved and knows lotsa tricks, but he knows them in German. Cool, huh? Well, he needed a new home and my Auntie Gail said she'd love ta have him come liffe with her! Him's furry smart and is getting back in shape now (he's a bit too, uh...fluffy? I no don't know nuffin 'bout that a'course, hehee). Him is furriends wif my auntie's offur woofie, Mitzi. She's a beagle and lotsa fun too!

Kintaro posted some picturs that hims meomie said he wasn't holding still enuf in. So my meowmie isided to post mines too. Hers flash wasn't workin' purroperly efurr (sorry bout that). The top pictur she said looks like I's turnin' invis-e-able. She said maybe I's Invis-e-able Woman oves the Fantastic Four. I'd like ta be like Jessica Alba, she's purrdy!

Thankful Thursday

Today I is thankful furr a nice comfy spot tah lay. One of my bean brofurs shared his Spiderman sleeping mat wif me and I has tah say, it was pretty darn comfurtable!
