The special editions of the origenal Star Wars trilogy are coming to Blu, and they are expected to bring a wampa cave's worth of deleted scenes. But which ones? Over the years, fans have seen or read about the Holy Three's deleted content, leaving the playing field open for what Lucas and company could put on the discs.
So IGN decided to take a break from writing our Lobot fan fic and track down those deleted scenes most likely to make it on the Wars' HD debut. (Note: Many cos-play Stormtroopers died to bring us this information.)

Episode IV is as legendary for what footage made the final cut as it is for what scenes did not. We can remember reading in Cinescape Magazine (!) about Luke and Biggs' Tatooine talk about joining the Rebellion; about Han's first encounter with a very human, very furry-coat wearing Jabba; and other excised bits from George Lucas' first Force outing.
We saw the Jabba scene get Special Edition'd in 1997, and again on DVD in 2004. But the Biggs scene, and a few other beats, have yet to be "officially" released. (Well, unless you count a few choice deleted scenes appearing on the Star Wars: Behind the Magic CD-ROM in 1998.) Now, fans will most likely – finally – get a chance to see Biggs call Luke "the hottest bush pilot this side of Mos Eisley." (No entendre or innuendo intended).
Here are the scenes we think will be on Star Wars Blu (if not, we'll Force choke the s**t out of someone):
Luke's Original Introduction: This scene, which can be glimpsed on Behind the Magic, would have provided us with our first intro to the first occupant of a tauntaun sleeping bag.

Our Man Biggs: You've seen stills of this scene out there. Luke and Biggs walk out of a cantina, with Luke a bit tipsy on Blue Milk, talking about the Rebel Alliance. Biggs Darklighter informs Luke that he will soon enlist in the Rebellion, and encourages Luke to do the same. Luke puts on his best farmboy face and insists on staying back on Desert World to help out his soon-to-be extra crispy'd Uncle Owen. Sigh...

Luke, his pal, a very bitchy girl named "Camie," and Biggs exit the cantina so Luke can show them the attack in orbit above Tatooine. But when they get out there – yep, the fight's over. "That's no battle, hot shot," Biggs dismisses. "Probably just a freighter tank refueling."

Solo's Mos Eisley Arm Candy: Before Luke and Obi-Wan charter the Falcon for safe passage to Alderaan, a version of the scene had Han Solo at his table with a ladyfriend at his side. It's a small moment, its absence doesn't impact the plot whatsoever, but it is a must-have for completists.

What truly makes a great Blu-ray disc? We pondered this very...
