Valve Answers Our DOTA 2 Questions

By Ryan Scott | PC Previews | Aug 11, 2011 5:00 PM | Comment

Valve's been pretty hush-hush with details on DOTA 2, the upcoming sequel to the enormously popular Defense of the Ancients mod for Warcraft III -- which itself basically kicked off an entire subgenre of team-based strategy games. By Tom Chick | PC Previews | Aug 11, 2011 12:00 PM | Comment

Since the name "Painkiller meets Blade Runner" could be problematic for legal reasons, Hard Reset is instead called "Hard Reset." This shooter -- made by former members of the Painkiller team, assembled under the name Flying Wild Hog -- applies Painkiller's gleeful mayhem to the traditionally static sci-fi dystopia you might find in a Deus Ex game. Expect lots of stuff breaking and things blowing up, particularly the robots and cyborgs that come gunning for you. But how are you doing to do this when Hard Reset only gives you two (2!) weapons?
