Update: While it was spoiled months ago by, well, spoiler sites, CBS have now confirmed that the two players returning to Survivor this season are Benjamin "Coach" Wade and Ozzy Lusth. This will be the third go-around for both.
The self-proclaimed "Dragon Slayer," Coach first played in Survivor: Tocantins and returned in Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains and is known as one of the most out there contestants ever, as far as the, ahem, far-fetched stories he would tell about his life. Ozzy first played in Survivor: Cook Islands and returned in Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, and stood out in both seasons for being extremely adept at the physical competitions (notably swimming).
When Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz returned last season for Survivor: Redemption Island, it was spurred on by a rivalry from a previous season, but Coach and Ozzy -- who will be on different teams in South Pacific --- have never played together. So what do they have in common? Survivor host Jeff Probst tells EW.com, "What they share together is their social games suck. Coach? He blew it in Heroes vs. Villains. He blew it seven different ways. And Ozzy got voted out with an idol in his hand! If that doesn't speak to how bad you are in the social part of this game. So we looked at it and said here are two guys that do have a redemption story. Yes, you've played. Yes, you're popular, but you don't know what you're doing in this game."

Below is our earlier story on the 16 new contestants Coach and Ozzy will be playing alongside.
The cast have been announced for Survivor: South Pacific, Season 23 of the reality series. Well, most of the cast that is, as later this week, two former contestants who are returning this season will be announced as well – as was the case in last season's Survivor: Redemption Island.
No, Russell Hantz is not back again this season… but his nephew is! Yes, the Survivor producers are milking Russell's infamy a bit more by bringing in 19 year old Brandon Hantz. We'll have to see if he lives up (or down, I guess) to the Hantz name.
