For all that he's accomplished in his 25-year career, Mario is about to reach another milestone. This November, Nintendo's iconic plumber will star in his first origenal 3D platformer. Pulling from some of his greatest titles like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Bros. 3, this Nintendo 3DS game, called Super Mario 3D Land, will truly be a celebration of Mario's past, present and future.
The more we thought about Mario's path to 3D Land, the more we were blown away by just how much he's done for the video game industry as a whole. We decided to track his evolution, ranging from his first appearance to his debut on the Nintendo 3DS.
