Need Help Logging In? We Are So There.

Hey there. You look a little lost. We’d like to fix that. Read on for help with accessing our downloadable code, documentation, and metrics for your game.

First, let’s figure out how you got here, and where you need to go.

Ø  Are you new to GameSpy Technology? Read this

Ø  Are you a returning GameSpy Technology Developer? Read this.

Are you new To GameSpy Technology?

Having troublecreating an account with GameSpy Technology?  Take a deep breath. We’re here to help. Getting set up is pretty easy. Just follow these steps to fun and magic:

1.       Head to the sign-up page at http://developer.poweredbygamespy.com/user/register to create your free developer account.

2.       This form is powered by GameSpy ID, the same account system used to power logins in hundreds of games, as well as IGN Entertainment sites like FilePlanet and Direct2Drive.

3.       Fill in the form to create your account. This will instantly create your account.

a.       If you have an existing GameSpy ID, you can enter your credentials as part of the form, and we will associate your account with the Developer Dashboard system.

b.      If you DO NOT have a GameSpy ID, you will create one by filling in this form, along with enabling instant access to the Developer Dashboard (which includes our downloadable SDKs, complete product documentation and our members-only Developer Forums).

c.       Note: if the credentials you use have been used by someone else to create an account, the system will reject your registration. This commonly occurs when trying to use “bogus” e-mail addresses like name@e-mail.com. Your best bet? Use a real account that belongs to you.

Are you a returning GameSpy Technology Developer?

You are probably used to logging into the old GameSpy Technology “secure” site at http://www.poweredbygamespy.com/secure.   We have retired this site, and replaced it with our new Developer Dashboard. This new site includes all of the features you know and love (access to downloadable SDKs and code; complete product documentation) and a whole lot more: top-level Metrics for your games; single-sign-on access to all of our Tools sites, and members-only Developer Forums.

In retiring the Secure site and implementing single sign-on across all of our sites, we also retired the stand-alone login credentials system that gated access to the site.  You will now log into the new Developer Dashboard using a GameSpy ID (which you probably already use to log into the admin sites for products like ATLAS or Sake, or to log into your own games).

To get access to the new Developer Dashboard, you will need to associate your GameSpy ID with the Dashboard system. This involves walking through a one-time registration process.  Here are the steps for doing that:

1.       Head to the sign-up page at http://developer.poweredbygamespy.com/user/register/

2.       Fill out the form using the existing GameSpy ID credentials (email and password) that you currently use to log into the admin sites for ATLAS or Sake, that you have used to log into your GameSpy ID-powered games, or that you use to log into other IGN Entertainment sites like FilePlanet or IGN.com.

3.       If you had a nickname associated with those credentials, you should enter it in the “Nickname” field. If not, you can pick a new one. This is how the Dashboard will recognize you. It is also how the Developer Forums will identify you when you post.

4.       Voila! This should grant you access to the Developer Dashboard. Any games that you have using our technology should show up in the “My Games” section of the Dashboard.

Note that we are still in the progress of migrating titles into the Dashboard, so they might not show up immediately in the Dashboard (but should still be accessible via the various “Tools” sites).

5.       If you try this and STILL have problems, you can shoot our DevSupport team or your Account Manager a quick note. Someone will respond quickly to help you.
