Items

The following items can be found in the game. For more information on obtaining a specific item, refer to the respective walkthrough pages.

Remember that one new addition to Pokémon Gold/Silver is that your Pokémon can now carry their own items, and they use some of them without prompting from you! It's always a good idea to have your main Pokémon hold a useful item, such as a healing Berry. Trees grow these berries every day, so don't forget to stop by whenever you pass one. In addition to berries, there are special items that power up a Pokémon’s moves when carried, such as Charcoal, which powers up the Fire-type attacks of the Pokémon carrying it.
