Even if you're in the beta, you haven't had a chance to play around with the skills recently highlighted on Blizzard's Diablo III site. With the exception of the Wizard's Ray of Frost, the skills shown off are unlocked at higher levels.
These are the base versions of the skills shown off in the video. Each skill can also be modified with one of five runes that alters functionality. The Barbarian's Ancient Spear, for instance, which shoots out a Scorpion from Mortal Kombat-like spike to pull back enemies, can be modified with the Grappling Hooks skill rune to fire out three spikes instead of one.
So far Diablo III still does not have an exact release date, but game director Jay Wilson said an announcement is happening sometime in the near future, maybe, if we're lucky.
