Magnolia Home Entertainment will bring Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie to Blu-ray and DVD on May 8, 2012. The film was not a box office success by any stretch, grossing less than $200,000 in theaters. However, most of the film's viewers stem from rentals through cable services and streaming on-demand services like iTunes and Amazon Instant Video.

The film, based off the cult Adult Swim sketch series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, follows Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim as they attempt to rehabilitate a run down mall in order to pay back the billion dollars they owe the Schlaaang corporation, who financed Tim and Eric's overpriced, and ultimately wasted, film.

In addition to the standard DVD, there will be two separate Blu-ray releases -- a single-disc Blu-ray and a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. Check out the art for all three releases below:

No specs have been announced for Tim & Eric just yet. Presumably the Blu-ray will boast 5.1 lossless audio with a 1080p high definition transfer (presented in 1.78:1). The DVD will boast an anamorphic transfer and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio. Special features for the Blu-ray and DVD aren't locked yet, but will allegedly include a commentary, deleted scenes, and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
