The Barbarian is a One-Man-Army in Diablo 3

By Mike Sharkey | PC News | Apr 11, 2012 9:10 AM | Comment

Blizzard is the puppet master. I, sadly, am the puppet. I had my heart set on rolling a Monk in Diablo 3. Then Blizzard unveiled the Demon Hunter, and like moth to flame, I couldn't resist the allure of the crossbow wielding, acrobatic killer. I've even punched in a few different options on the Demon Hunter skill calculator. Locked! Now it appears those plans will be scrapped. Blizzard is once again pulling my strings with a trailer for a classic class I never really considered: the Barbarian. And so it appears I'll be playing D3 old-school style, because I'm cutting the strings. There's no way I'll let Blizzard dance me over to the Witch Doctor. That class is just plain silly. Queen Cersei Spotted in Game of Thrones RPG

By Mike Sharkey | PC News | Apr 11, 2012 8:32 AM | Comment

Queen Cersei Lannister! Over here, Queen Cersei! Hi, I know you, you incestuous devil! Cyanide has been teasing us with trailers and images of its Game of Thrones RPG for months, but aside from the appearance of the relatively minor Jeor Mormont, not one major character from George R.R. Martin's fantasy universe has been spotted. Finally, we get to see Cersei in a new screen, giving us hope that Tyrion, the Starks, and Daenerys aren't far behind. Read More »

Oops! Crysis 3 Accidentally Revealed on Origin

By Mike Sharkey | PC News | Apr 11, 2012 6:30 AM | Comment

Electronic Arts is planning a major reveal on April 23, but it appears someone at Origin has gone and ruined the surprise. Blame the content management system and its sexy, irresistible Publish button. Crytek's Crysis 3 briefly popped up on Origin in the wee hours before someone at EA said, "Oh, ****" and promptly removed it. But the Internet is always watching, and nothing can escape its all-seeing eyes and screen-grabbing hands. Read More »

Update: Keylogger Alert for Sonic 2 HD is "Merely an Error in Input Programming"

By Taylor Cocke | PC News | Apr 10, 2012 1:54 PM | Comment

Update: Sonic Retro has posted an update, that after further testing, it looks like there is no keylogger in Sonic 2 HD; it's "merely an error in input programming."

"I promised more information. More information has come. It turns out the input error causing the situation not only does not phone the data but does not store it; it is merely an error in input programming. I sincerely apologize for any undue panic this may have caused and accept full culpability for any pants panicking bullshit."

Like a Radioactive Zombie, Stalker 2 Won't Stay Down

By Taylor Cocke | PC News | Apr 10, 2012 11:21 AM | Comment

In January, the official Stalker Facebook page told fans "The Stalker team is extremely happy! Why? Because we are continuing work on Stalker 2 after the holidays." But the evidence wasn't there. Where were the trailers? What about a screenshot? Heck, even some measly concept art probably would have satiated my hunger for a minute or two. Finally, we've got our cold, hard facts. Read More »
