A short survival horror adventure.
An interactive cartoon, with co-op.
I want to believe. I want to believe that the rumors about an Elder Scrolls MMO announcement in May will result in one of the genre's best games, but I find myself convinced that The Elder Scrolls series can't introduce an MMORPG without losing its soul. Read More »
Brian Fargo, the founder of inXile entertainment, updated the Kickstarter page for Wasteland 2 today, providing further insight into what exactly the team has in mind for the project, including the extent of Obsidian Entertainment's involvement. Don't worry, Fargo assures us, Wasteland 2 is still "his baby." Read More »
Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 1.2 will be available tomorrow, and it's the size of an Imperial Walker. A few of the big features fans have been clamoring for will finally be added, including customizable UI elements and Guild banks, as well as a host of fresh content. Read More »
BioWare confirmed during its PAX East panel over the weekend that work has finished on Dragon Age 2, and the Dragon Age team is moving on. More importantly, some heavy hints were dropped about the tweaks we'll see in the inevitable (though unannounced) Dragon Age 3. Read More »
Kinda cool when big companies give the people exactly what they want, isn't it? Rare too, like liger rare. That's what makes today's announcement all the more crazy-hybrid-jungle-cat special. Following a sizable fan petition, Namco Bandai announced today at an event in Las Vegas that Dark Souls will kill many, many PC adventurers this August. Read More »
If you missed out on a closed beta invite to BioWare Mythic's new free-to-play arena combat game, today is your lucky day. Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes is now in open beta, though it remains to be seen if it's actually worth playing. Read More »
Blizzard is the puppet master. I, sadly, am the puppet. I had my heart set on rolling a Monk in Diablo 3. Then Blizzard unveiled the Demon Hunter, and like moth to flame, I couldn't resist the allure of the crossbow wielding, acrobatic killer. I've even punched in a few different options on the Demon Hunter skill calculator. Locked! Now it appears those plans will be scrapped. Blizzard is once again pulling my strings with a trailer for a classic class I never really considered: the Barbarian. And so it appears I'll be playing D3 old-school style, because I'm cutting the strings. There's no way I'll let Blizzard dance me over to the Witch Doctor. That class is just plain silly. Read More »
Queen Cersei Lannister! Over here, Queen Cersei! Hi, I know you, you incestuous devil! Cyanide has been teasing us with trailers and images of its Game of Thrones RPG for months, but aside from the appearance of the relatively minor Jeor Mormont, not one major character from George R.R. Martin's fantasy universe has been spotted. Finally, we get to see Cersei in a new screen, giving us hope that Tyrion, the Starks, and Daenerys aren't far behind. Read More »
Epic Games says it is working on a PC exclusive, and our fingers are crossed for a new Unreal Tournament. But until the day we're fragging foes with a Flak Cannon in the next UT, we'll have to find our FPS arena fix elsewhere. Enter the PC version of Nexuiz. The pretty, fast-paced shooter has been lighting up Xbox Live since February, and now a rebuilt, DirectX 11-infused PC version is ready for a trial run. Read More »
Electronic Arts is planning a major reveal on April 23, but it appears someone at Origin has gone and ruined the surprise. Blame the content management system and its sexy, irresistible Publish button. Crytek's Crysis 3 briefly popped up on Origin in the wee hours before someone at EA said, "Oh, ****" and promptly removed it. But the Internet is always watching, and nothing can escape its all-seeing eyes and screen-grabbing hands. Read More »
Yes, it has been out for a couple of months already, but today Lunar Flight has made its way to everyone's favorite digital distribution service: Steam. Better still for prospective lunar lander pilots, you can pick up this indie simulator for only $8 until April 17th. Read More »
Update: Sonic Retro has posted an update, that after further testing, it looks like there is no keylogger in Sonic 2 HD; it's "merely an error in input programming."
"I promised more information. More information has come. It turns out the input error causing the situation not only does not phone the data but does not store it; it is merely an error in input programming. I sincerely apologize for any undue panic this may have caused and accept full culpability for any pants panicking bullshit."Read More »
In the middle of a seemingly never-ending stream of releases, Paradox Interactive and Turbo Tape Games have dropped Naval War: Arctic Circle for general consumption. A, perhaps obviously, naval RTS, it'll set you back $20, and features two full campaign trees, one featuring NATO forces and the other the Russians. Read More »
After months of beta tweaking and polishing, Hi-Rez will be ready to launch the full, official, jet-pack-and-friction-boot-equipped release of Tribes: Ascend on Thursday (April 12). It just so happens my birthday falls on that same day, and I look forward to capping a few llamas in celebration. Read More »
In January, the official Stalker Facebook page told fans "The Stalker team is extremely happy! Why? Because we are continuing work on Stalker 2 after the holidays." But the evidence wasn't there. Where were the trailers? What about a screenshot? Heck, even some measly concept art probably would have satiated my hunger for a minute or two. Finally, we've got our cold, hard facts. Read More »
