After much speculation and fan rage, it looks like Kid Cudi of all people has just revealed what might -- just might -- be the first piece of concept art from Michael Bay's upcoming Ninja Turtles reboot.

As you can see, it's very, uh... weaponized. And if I didn't know any better, I'd say it was another take on one of Bay's Transformers. On the plus side, the body structure does seem to pay homage to the stockier, bulkier TMNT, much like its '80s and '90s predecessors. This would actually make sense because the drawing is apparently the work of the Turtles' co-creator Kevin Eastman.

So where did it come from? According to io9 (via Huffington Post), the sketch was given to rapper Kid Cudi as a gift, which hints that he may also be involved with the project.

Tweeted Cudi, "To everyone with doubts & concerns about the new TMNT reboot, trust me, there is NOTHING to worry about. Trust. Everyone will be pleased!"

No word yet on the authenticity of the image. It could have just as easily been drawn by Eastman purely for Cudi's own enjoyment. Stay tuned as we learn more.
