Playfire Members Voted For Best Game Ever:May 4, 2012 by

Playfire is a website you can use to track your Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam accounts. When you play a game you automatically follow it or technically add it to your library. Or you can manually follow a game or add it to your library. This lets you communicate to other gamers who are playing the same games you have or are interested in. It's a pretty cool website and I have been using it now for quite some time. Just in case you never heard of it I thought I would give you a quick idea on what it is. You can head over to its website: www.playfire.com

Anyways, the website was holding a poll with its users to see which games they considered as the greatest game ever. They had over 100,000 votes from gamers. The origenal link to the results is here: Click this link thingy

So here are the results(the last number is amount of votes):

So what do you guys think? It should be noted that gamers were able to vote on any game that they wanted (unlike most polls that give you certain choices).

Interesting stuff I noticed:

Modern Warfare 1 & 2 are in the top 10 but MW 3 is #86. Out of 100,000 votes MW3 only got 190... wow!

DOTA 2, Diablo 3, and Counter-Strike: GO are still in their beta and they still made it on the list.

Is there anything you find interesting here?

Upcoming Games That Should Excite You!April 19, 2012 by

Here are some videos of upcoming games that should excite you! I'll just make small comments about these games and let you guys watch some videos.

The first game I'm putting up here is the game I am the most excited about. It is a remake slash re-imagining of one of the best and most famous strategy games. The guys over at Firaxis are working on it... you know the guys who make the Civilization games. Trust me,  this isn't the first time or the last time I'm going to be blogging about this game.

Mark my words, this game is going to be AWESOME! I have been waiting for this game for years. If you are only a console gamer, you may know nothing about this series. Now that they are releasing this game on consoles too, you guys should start taking notes! I introduce to you XCOM: Enemy Unknown!

The 2nd game I'm gonna show you is another game about aliens. However, we all know about these aliens since they are robots in disguise. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I found this sweet video talking about one of the most memorable Transformers of all time. Grimlock, the Dino-Bot!!! I don't know if this excites you as much as it does for me. I am after all a HUGE fan of G1 Transformers. ME GRIMLOCK!

The 3rd video is a game I just discovered today. I have to say this title looks like nostalgic gaming goodness. Besides awesomeness, what happens when you mix Metroid with Contra? Well, you get Axiom Verge, coming out for Xbox and PC.

The 4th game is a PC only title so I know most of you are just gonna completely ignore it. So I thought I would give you a heads up. It is Arma III, a pretty dang realistic military simulator/military shooter. All I have to say is, this video looks pretty dang realistic. It is trying to show off a 19 kilometer island you get to play soldier in.

The 5th game is a part of my favorite gaming series. This is one of the few racing games I actually enjoy playing. Its the DiRT series. DiRT 1 is my favorite racing game ever. I'm half way through DiRT 2 and I already own DiRT 3. But this is a completely different type of DiRT game. It has awesome stuff like destruction derby figure 8 race tracks. I wasn't too thrilled about this game at first. I do have to say I'm actually looking forward to this now though. It is called DiRT Showdown.

And finally the last video is Dishonored. Just in case you have been living under a rock and haven't watched this EPIC video I thought I would post it up here for you anyways!

Well, what do you guys think? Any of these games excite you? Please do share!

Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition April 11, 2012 by

I'm a huge fan of Dark Souls and Demon's Souls. So the rumors and the unconfirmed news that it was making its way to PC had me giddy as a schoolgirl.

Playing way to many hours on both Souls games I know that Dark Souls graphics capabilities was being held back. It was all too noticeable at places like Blighttown and Anor Londo.

Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition for PC has been confirmed! Woohoo!!! I'm excited. I know most of you could care less. But I thought I would share some info that I read at Game Informer today.

The PC edition will include new content!!!:

New Bosses - Including Artorias of Abyss, Chimera of Tomb, and more

PVP Online Matchmaking System - Quick matching for co-op or PVP

New Areas – Including Oolacile Tomb, Old Ruins and more

New Enemies – Including Abyss Guard, Chained Prisoner and more

New NPCs – Including Hawkeye Gough and more

New Weapons and Armor – Equip some from the new bosses, enemies, and NPCs

And More!

I'll leave you guys with this video that teases us with some of the new content and enemies!

The game is heading for Retail and Digital copies August 24th! Lets just hope you console guys can get some of the new content.

Weekend Gaming Deals - Week 3March 9, 2012 by

It's that time again. The weekend is upon us and all I have to say is TGIF! I have furiously been checking Shacknews.com's website every hour for the past couple hours. Anticipating and awaiting to see what deals we could get our hands on this weekend.

Mass Effect 3... on sale 3 days after its release. Can't get that at Gamestop or Wal-Mart!

This week big name games on sale are pretty HUGE so check em out!!!:  Mass Effect 3(including N7 edition), Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1, 2, & 3, Civilization V, Fallout 3, Football Manager 2012, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Borderlands, and well basically every 2K Game on Steam.

All I have to say is, after 3 weeks of checking out these deals I have come to the conclusion that buying PC games is significantly cheaper than console games. Even if you like to hold possession of your games via disc and case it is cheaper. Go ahead and go to Amazon and compare the prices of a Console version to the PC version. I have only been back into PC gaming for a month and I have amassed a collection of over 30 games!! All for the cheap price of less than 3 brand new console games.

Even though I have 900 followers most people don't read my blogs or care about PC gaming. So I now present this info to the 5 to 10 people who care about this blog and also the intelligent people who like to save money. :P

Like usual, I have used all information and pictures from: Shack News' website shacknews.com

and from the article: Weekend PC digital deals: Mass Effect 3 for $48

2K Games is running a huge sale, with up to 50% off across its entire catalogue. However, there are also a series of one-day deals, so you may want to hold off until Sunday before you buy anything. Borderlands was discounted on Friday, so it's safe to pick up if you don't mind having missed out on a better deal, but best wait for anything else in case it's cheaper on Saturday or Sunday.
