The Wolverine was aiming to start principal photography this fall, but the sequel reportedly won't go before cameras now until next year.

Deadline says the James Mangold-directed pic will now likely begin shooting in spring 2012 and that star Hugh Jackman will probably next star in the big screen version of the musical Les Miserables instead.

Due to weather conditions in Japan, where much of the story takes place, the production is having trouble narrowing down where to shoot there so they may relocate to Canada instead or film in a combination of the two countries.
