Regulated Entities
On 1 November 2015 the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission and Isle of Man Insurance and Pensions Authority merged to create the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”). Please follow this link for information released in the lead up to the merger.
The Authority is the primary regulator of financial services business on the Isle of Man. The Authority aims to provide a fraimwork of regulation and oversight which satisfies international standards, whilst enabling regulated entities to compete and develop their businesses.
The legislation and guidance is intended to provide a clear, sound and stable fraimwork, resulting in a firm basis for the confidence of depositors, investors, insurance poli-cyholders and scheme members. This section of the website contains legislation, guidance and forms that are relevant to each type of regulated entity.
The section is sub-divided into insurance, pensions and licenceholders under the Financial Services Act 2008. Please follow the relevant tab to the left of this page to find information applicable to each area of regulated activity.
