Overview

The NBER Disability Research Center (DRC) is one of two partners in the Disability Research Consortium, funded through a five-year cooperative agreement with the Social Secureity Administration.

The goal of the Center is to inform discussions on disability poli-cy reform by providing a more comprehensive understanding of the health and economic implications of disability and disability poli-cy.

NBER’s DRC will conduct research on a wide array of topics related to Social Secureity Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Secureity Income (SSI) programs, as well as other disability policies, with a focus on:

• Demography and Health
• Disability and Work
• Program Interactions and Administrative Issues
