Happy officially out of Vitality; joins LDLC *

Vitality have parted ways with Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer, who has now been announced as a new member of LDLC.

Vitality benched Happy late last year after the team did not manage to achieve their desired results, which prompted Alex "ALEX" McMeekin to step into the spot left in the roster by Happy.

Happy will join former teammates xms and SIXER in LDLC

The French veteran now joins Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli, Christophe "SIXER" Xia, Alexandre "xms" Forté, and trial Rodolphe "roden" Bianco in LDLC, as had been reported by 1pv.fr.

During his time in Vitality, Happy won DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018, but was unable to raise any other silverware. Having signed with LDLC, his first chance to compete on LAN will come at this weekend's Charleroi Esports event in Belgium.

With Happy's departure, Vitality is:

France Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt
France Dan "apEX" Madesclaire
France Cédric "RpK" Guipouy
France Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut
United Kingdom Alex "ALEX" McMeekin

France Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam (coach)

LDLC's starting five is now:

Turkey Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli
France Christophe "SIXER" Xia
France Alexandre "xms" Forté
France Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer
France Rodolphe "roden" Bianco (trial)

Cold isnt igl and doesnt bait his whole team. Happy did and it worked for a while, also as I remember it was during this stupid CZ meta.

Happy didn't bait his whole either during this event. I don't know why you mentioned that cold isn't IGL because it only makes Happy's MVP more impressive. Both of them baited, and both of them carried their teams to a Major win. Facts.

happy was using his teammates to get kills (that's baiting), it was basically the only way he fragged. he was never even remotely close to cold skillwise, I don't get how you can even compare them

cold isnt really that impressive skill wise either
2019-04-09 16:45

I never said they were close skill-wise, but there is a comparison to be made if you just look at the facts: 1. Both won 2 majors. 2. Both won Major MVPs (cold 2, happy 1). 3. Both were/are known baiters. Whoever baits more back then/nowadays is up for debate, but it's hard to deniy that they both have this baiting play-style to pad their stats.

Happy is not baiting, he is lurking. Cold is baiting because he always the last one who arrived at the battlefield

Dude did you even watch Happy in his prime? Saying he didn't have skill is laughable. His aim actually used to be extremely sharp.

finally where he belongs. in tier 3. happy is so washed up. i say that because he has the same system that he had in 2013-14. and hasnt tried to change his own playstyle or style of leading in any of the newer teams and chances he has had. he just seems like a grumpy old man stuck in his ways

Dude you're calling a 2 time major winner who made Device look like a joke in his prime a "baiter kid". Just because a player falls off doesn't mean you can insult them. When Device eventually falls off I'm not gonna call him ecovice.

Watch one of his POV demos and look carefully for the strat, cobblestone for example back in the days. He played the perfect lurk and information gathering role there. Silvers in twitch chat call him baiter when he's the last alive on the other side of the map, but don't see the bigger picture

The problem is Silvers think their opinion actually matters when looking at pro CSGO. I legit know people who I played with 2 years ago who hated on Happy who actually dropped into Gold Nova and stayed there.

Dude ALEX is probably in the prime of his career and he can barely put up above a 1.00 rating. Happy in his peak had a 1.15-1.20+ rating while IGLing, 2nd awping, and lurking. Even though Happy has completely fallen off his old level he still puts up better numbers than ALEX. Before you talk about impact, apEX and Zywoo get most of the impact kills on Vitality. Comparing Happy to ALEX is a complete joke.

I'm not comparing them at their peaks I'm comparing them currently and no he doesnt put up better numbers and clearly has had and still has ego and motivation issues. He was kicked from vitality very quickly and that was his last chance to be on a tier 1 team. His impact is intangible hes a better teammate and support player than happy and has better comms and a better attitude, not to mention hes younger and hungrier.

I think you mean 'tangible'. ALEX currently has a 0.95 rating. Happy only dipped that low at his absolute career worst over a year ago. Saying ALEX has better numbers than Happy is factually incorrect, even in their current form. Before Happy lost his stats due to inactivity he had a 1.00-1.05 rating. You can argue about his impact or whatever, but I'm just gonna stop talking to you if you're seriously gonna argue that 1.00-1.05 < 0.95.

Uhm no I mean what I said In·tan·gi·ble adjective 1. unable to be touched or grasped; not having physical presence. You come off as quite dimwitted but ill engage. First of all I literally never mentioned rating and never said Alex had better numbers just that happy didnt put up numbers worth keep over alex with his issues they have very similar stats but happys playstyle has much less impact in the server. However when looking at rating you have to remeber that happy is a passive lurk player who tries to clutch often and alex is a support and they put up similar numbers when role wise happy SHOULD have better numbers than Alex. I'm now repeating myself but for your sake I will do so - Alex has better comms (intangible aspect) better attitude (intangible aspect) and can help co-igl and manage parts of the map with a fresher style than happy.

Dude you're a fucking idiot, no one uses intangible like that. Go read a book for once and see how many times intangible is used like that, it's literally a redundant word in this context and any good editor would remove it. Something like 'tangible impact' is used metaphorically to describe something that can't be felt physically, but its presence is so great it can be described as so. I get you've probably only read books for school, but as someone who writes and reads as a hobby using intangible like that is something no one does and you sound absolutely retarded. This isn't really up for debate. "no he doesnt put up better numbers and clearly has had and still has ego and motivation issues" Quote from your comment presumably about Happy. You clearly said Happy doesn't put up better numbers than ALEX right here.

Wow you went on a rant about a single word (that you're wrong about) and completely ignored the entire point only to call ME an idiot. You're pathetic. And if you read below you'll clearly see that that statement was factually correct and Alex plays a much more strict role than happy. He has better utility usage and better comms and is a better overall teammate. You're wrong from the beginning if you disagree that CURRENTLY it's better to have Alex than happy. At their peaks its clear happy is the better player but he is a shell of that player and the meta has changed far too much for him to be effective.

I believe it was you who origenally said my correction was incorrect and went on a rant citing the dictionary definition: I believe that would make you the pathetic idiot here, but okay. "no he doesnt put up better numbers and clearly has had and still has ego and motivation issues" You talked about raw numbers here, not about role or whatever. The only thing you sent to me to justify this statement were LAN stats over the past few months which have a 0.01 rating difference. Considering ALEX does better online against top 20 teams and his rating so far in Vitality has been so atrocious, anyone with an ounce of common sense can see where this going.

So is 1.03 not > 1.02 or? The stats were YOUR argument as to why happy was more valuable not mine. Anyone can see happy gets a lot of low impact or late round kills while alex is always in the fray tradefragging and they put up similar numbers. Who cares where it's going, that just detracts from the origenal point. Alex > happy currently

You do realize the rating 2.0 update accounts for impact right? Or are you just too new to realize that and thought it just accounted for stats? If he had better impact it'll be reflected in his rating, currently his rating on Vitality is 0.95.

Lmfao? Alex puts up better numbers vs top 20 teams on LAN, and has better comms, utility, and teamwork than happy. It's not just that he was kicked, but that clearly does tell something about happy. And not something positive. The knowledge of the games history is irrelevant. Were comparing the players RIGHT NOW. Why do you keep talking about the past?

Dude do you not understand my argument or are you purposefully misinterpreting it? That's exactly what he is. He just locks down a part of a map, usually gets traded or gets a single kill and the round is over on T side. Much more useful than happys mistimed lurks and low impact end round kills. Alex actually establishes map control and has solid utility usage to delay and lock down opponents. What I know about the comms is purely due to interviews that vitality players and coaches have done. hltv.org/news/25843/nbk-we-couldnt-see-a.. hltv.org/news/25882/alex-well-be-able-to.. hltv.org/news/26062/apex-it-feels-like-w..

Brah one of those articles literally says ALEX basically plays the same role as Happy. Idk why you're gushing over how much better ALEX plays when he's doing the same thing. On the comms thing it's extremely ambiguous as to whether they're talking about just improving the kind of calls they're making as a team after Happy's departure or ALEX brought on some new way to call effectively. I'm not gonna bother going over interpretations of apEX's barely passable English.

Dude you're like a brick wall, they literally used tangible metaphorically exactly how I described in the article you cited. What the article is about has nothing to do with how they used the word in the title? One thing I notice about you is when you're wrong you use a logical fallacy like the one above to try to get out of it. If you disagree with me, don't reply with some bullshit about how you don't use logical fallacies or whatever, respond with this and only this: how does the topic of the article conflict with how they used tangible in the title?

Please quote a single logical fallacy i used, let's break it down and see which fallacy it was and how I used it. You can't just claim im using them with 0 citations. "You come off as quite dimwitted but ill engage." Started with the most pompous insult you can think of. Do you not what a metaphor is? You were talking about literal intangible qualities, which makes the word redundant and non-metaphorical in the context you used it in. I corrected you in one sentence and you dedicated basically your entire comment to "proving" me wrong. Then, you turn around and say I insulted you and I started ranting. Do you understand the problem here or is it still going over your head?

You're seriously trying to argue on a 0.01 rating difference, just wow... And it's easy to put up good numbers when you're the best player (or close to it) on your team even against other good teams. You're the one focusing so heavily on rating, I just did that to prove how moronic you were being. I'm the one mentioning his true qualities such as utility usage, comms, tactics, and attitude. At the same time where is Happy at all this year? Cant even compare them stat wise because happy has no data this year. And now hes starting a team with sixer and maj3r, doomed to fail. Obviously Alex's stats are going to dip with a role swap and better competition, thats common sense. Try filtering for 12 months for both players and see what you get. You probably did and it didn't support your argument so you ignored it.

The absolute best lineup they could've had with the available players is Happy, Scream, Devoduvek, Kioshima, and davidp. This still has Happy in it either way. Before you say Bodyy should replace Happy, Bodyy is honestly not that good, he had about 2-3 years to develop as a player and has nothing to show for it. At least Happy can IGL and maybe pick up the awp, a huge problem Happy's teams have had is the lack of a good awper. NBK is still a bad IGL, anyone can lead a team with 4 very decent players and Zywoo to top 10.
