Detroit District
The Detroit District is part of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division and operates in concert with six other districts as a region.
Established in 1841, the district covers 82,000 square miles of land in the state of Michigan and portions of Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota with 3,200 miles of Great Lakes shoreline. The district is headquartered in downtown Detroit with area offices in Detroit, Michigan; Duluth, Minnesota; Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; and Grand Haven, Michigan.

Overseas the training and operation of the district's Crisis Action Team and Flood Fight Team
Provide planning, engineering, design, construction management, environmental service and technical assistance to federal agencies, state and local governments and tribal nations.
Partners include: Environmental Protection Agency, International Joint Commission, Indian Health Services, Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Forest Service, Great Lakes Fishery Commission, Department of Treasury, General Services Administration, U.S. Coast Guard, National Park Service, Veterans Administration and National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
