When presumed-dead billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns home to Starling City after five years stranded on a remote island in the Pacific, he hides the ways the experience has changed him. As he reconnects with those closest to him, including his sister, Thea, Oliver appears to be the same wealthy, carefree bachelor they've always known. At night, flanked by his devoted friend, Diggle, Oliver uses his secret persona -- that of a vigilante -- to right societal wrongs and transform the city to its former glory.

Mandy Treccia TV Source Magazine All in all, a solid episode that did a nice job of making sure all of the cast members had something to do other than stand in the background. Jan 18, 2019 Full Review Morgan Jeffery Digital Spy With the more jovial The Flash earning rave reviews, it's no bad thing that its parent series is adopting a little of its offspring's lightness of touch. 'Green Arrow' is the same show, just with a little more colour. Aug 2, 2018 Full Review Conner Schwerdtfeger CinemaBlend For all of its faults, Season 4 of Arrow deserves quite a bit of credit for giving audiences a proper introduction to the magical elements...However, that wasn't enough to make up for everything Season 4 did wrong. Jul 11, 2018 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com Arrow kicked off the DC Comics universe of TV shows on the CW network and it continues to lean toward the dark side of the genre. Oct 6, 2016 Full Review Jen Neal SciFiNow It wasn't bad, by any stretch - the moments of brilliance were surrounded by good padding - but compared to the earlier seasons, it fell a little flat. Rated: 3/5 Sep 6, 2016 Full Review Richard Giraldi PopMatters Arrow slowly but surely begins to fully embrace its superhero comic book roots. It's a welcome shift in tone for the series, and if "Green Arrow" is any indication, season four of Arrow should be a lot of fun. Rated: 7/10 Oct 14, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Wyatt C a solid season not bad 9/10 tho Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review yes O Season 4 was perfect! The main antagonist was amazing and so was everything else. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review Clover G Arrow Season 4 Review (1.3/10): Arrow Season 4 is characterized by a myriad of creative missteps, an overemphasis on certain elements, absolutely awful writing, and extremely terrible character development and characters in general, detracting from the series' overall quality and resulting in a disappointing viewing experience and a rating of 1.3/10. The fourth season of Arrow undergoes a significant departure from the series' earlier strengths, with a notable decline in narrative coherence and character-driven storytelling. The season's creative decisions, particularly the handling of key plotlines and character dynamics, fail to resonate with audiences, leading to a dissonant viewing experience. One of the primary concerns of Season 4 is the overwhelming focus on the "Olicity" romantic relationship, which significantly overshadows other critical elements of the series. The relentless emphasis on this particular dynamic leads to a lack of balance in storytelling, diminishing the impact of essential plot developments, action sequences, and character arcs. Furthermore, the absolutely awful writing and extremely terrible character development and characters in general in Season 4 hinder the season's thematic exploration and emotional resonance. This imbalance contributes to a dissonant viewing experience, leaving fans longing for the series' earlier strengths and compelling storytelling. Additionally, Season 4's handling of key antagonists and narrative pacing further exacerbates the season's narrative shortcomings. The introduction of new characters and storylines feels overshadowed by the overwhelming focus on the "Olicity" dynamic, leading to a dilution of the series' once-compelling storytelling. In summary, Arrow Season 4 is marred by an overemphasis on the "Olicity" relationship, absolutely awful writing, and extremely terrible character development and characters in general, resulting in a significant decline in storytelling quality and viewer satisfaction. The season's failure to maintain narrative balance and engage with critical plotlines warrants a rating of 1.3/10. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/24 Full Review julian p I think that this season is really good but not perfect. Oliver stopped killing after the events of Arrow S1 but this season it changes. Action is so perfect way better than Flash S4 12/10. Acting the Arrow actor and actresses make the best performance in the show and in the crossovers 11/10. CGI although Arrow doesn't have any powers the CGI used in the show is great 10/10. Villain Darhk is just a amazing villain and a cool one so underrated 11/10. But I didn't like Reiter. Writing no explanation needed 11/10. Story/plot no explanation needed 12/10. Casting 10/10. Characters, I love the characters Taiana, Curtis, Donna, 10/10. Character development 9/10. Adventure 9/10. Crossover(s) "Heros Join Forces" Flash S2:E8 & Arrow S4:E8 I like this crossover definitely top 5 10/10. Mystery 8-9/10. Ending was absolutely beautiful 12/10. I said "Oliver stopped killing after the events of Arrow S1 but this season it changes" because Darhk decides to kill Laurel and I really liked Laurel I don't know why she had to die. But other than Laurel dying this is a very cool kick ass season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review Wyatt G Rough. The flashback scenes feel so unrealistic and forced to fit the narrative of the current storyline that it pulls me out of the story. While Damian Dhark is actually a cool villain and charismatic as can be, that doesn't save the season for me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review Freedom T Arguably even worse than season 3 this kind of BS belongs on LOT not Arrow Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
