May 20, 2024 Full Review Graeme Blundell The Australian You'll find it's surprisingly easy to dip into. The writing is concise and fashioned with a 50s movies sense of deliberate structure. Each episode's A-story is easy to latch onto... Mar 28, 2020 Full Review Emily St. James AV Club Even with those quibbles about some of the storytelling and the pilot's over-obviousness, there's a wonderful, moving core here. Joe W Really slow and lacks any plot. It’s like watching a fake reality tv show where everything and nothing happens. Taking the blandest things and trying to dramatise them. Most of the episodes in season 1 is just ~4 men smoking and drinking saying 1 liners that would maybe be funny 50yrs ago, while the women around them for some reason keep saying “how hard the men work”. I remember this being talked about when it came out and people couldn’t stop talking about it, but watching it 10 years after release feels like it was fake hype just to cram something down people’s throats and sandwich as much ads into it as possible. Watch this if you’re bored or want background noise. Because there’s nothing to discuss after other than “random white guy having affair”, “random white guy said something you have to google and it’s still not funny”. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Benjamin H Well written, solidly acted and featuring a colorful cast of characters, Mad Men's opening season isn't fluently paced at all times, but it is a concise and engrossing season that effectively captures its period while also being filled with undertones and sharp wit. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Ted C one of the best TV shows ever. same goes for other seasons Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Jeremy S solid start, will keep watching Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/24/24 Full Review Matt L One of my favorite shows of all time. Not perfect, but very very good! There were some episodes seasons better than others, but overall one of the greatest shows of its genre. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Regina P I just started this series to see what the fuss was about. So far, I'm not seeing it just yet. It's okay. I am getting familiar with the characters. I will hopefully get through the entire series and finally get it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
