Breakfast with a twist: Savory French Toast
Many people will gather for Easter brunch this weekend, and Chef Jillian Forte of At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Cafe shared a recipe for how to take a traditional breakfast item and present it with a twist.
Her Savory French Toast recipe came from a dream.
She makes the batter with two eggs, half and half, some grated parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder, fresh chives, and her secret ingredient: truffle oil.
She cooks the bread in a saucepan and then tops it with hot honey, bacon, tomatoes, avocado, and more chives.
