This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be emanating from the known Wreck 1487 shipwreck. It was approximately 9.76 nm long and approx. 0.36 nm wide. The dark colored slick had strong contrast against the ocean background and was distinguishable from natural phenomena. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the S at 12 kts.
