Whether this is your first time having a student in college or you have been through this before, it is always a new adventure. During the transition, and every year after that, we want to make sure that you and your student feel supported every step of the way.
NMSU Family Engagement is committed to enhancing the student experience by supporting and advocating for their family and supporters from inquiry to graduation. Our office is a support system for families that is invested in empowering you with resources, information, and space to celebrate the NMSU journey.
Our mission is to engage family members and supporters as partners in the educational journey of each NMSU student.

We Define Family as:
- Parents, Guardians, and Siblings
- Children, Spouses, Partners, and Significant Others
- Extended Family: Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Grandparents
- Friends
- Any member of a student’s support system or considered loved ones
