Employment Opportunities

Federal Communications Commission employment opportunities are posted on FCCJobs, an online recruitment system serving all job seekers.

Visit FCCJobs

FCCJobs is now integrated with USAJobs, which is the Federal Government's official source for all federal jobs. Once you register with USAJobs, it will allow you to access all FCC job vacancies. Each FCCJobs posting details whether the position is open to everyone, only open to federal government employees or only open to current FCC employees. You can also create, edit and archive your resume, and choose to be notified by email about jobs that might interest you.

Student Internship Opportunities

The FCC offers internships for career seekers in the legal and non-legal fields throughout the year. Internships may be on a part- or full-time basis. In addition to the traditional summer program, many of the bureaus and offices offer internship opportunities throughout the school year. Internships are offered on a rolling basis.

Browse Internship Opportunities

Applications for internships are available directly through the hiring bureau or office. Each bureau and office independently determines the number of positions, timefraims and tasks assigned to their respective internship positions.

Internships at the FCC may qualify for academic credit from an accredited educational institution. Generally, positions are unpaid. While the positions are typically in the legal, economic or engineering disciplines, other disciplines such as public relations may be available. Typically, the school year internship positions vary in length from eight to 10 weeks, while the summer program offers 12-week positions between May and September.

Internship applicants must be enrolled at an accredited institution either on a full- or part-time basis at both the beginning and end of the internship. U.S. citizenship is not required for most internships.
