The Dons defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the 1988 FA Cup final

MK Dons on Thursday hand back the trophies won by Wimbledon Football Club to the London Borough of Merton.
The collection, which left Merton five years ago, included a replica of the FA Cup won in 1988 and were handed over by MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman.
Mayor of Merton John Dehaney formally accepted the collection.
Wimbledon left Merton at the end of the 1990-91 season, moving from Plough Lane to ground share with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The club remained tenants of Palace at Selhurst until they moved to Milton Keynes and became the MK Dons in 2003.

Supporters unhappy with the move to Milton Keynes formed their own club, AFC Wimbledon in 2002.
Merton Councillor Maurice Groves said: "The history of Wimbledon Football Club or the 'Crazy Gang' as they were affectionately known is so integral to the borough, so I am delighted Merton Council is going to receive all of the club's accolades.
