Imanol was born in Mexico City. His father introduced him to the
theater at the early age of 2 in the musical "Que Planton". Later
Imanol showed much interest in his father's work and decided to try it.
He participated in
Chiquilladas (1982),
Plaza Sésamo (1972), and at the
age of 9, got his first role in the film
La última llamada (1996),
receiving the Heraldo Award for debuting actor. In 1996 he was cast for
Elisa Before the End of the World (1997)
and for the musical "Marcelino Pan y Vino". He also received several
awards for this performance. Later came the "novelas" (Mexican Soaps)
Los hijos de nadie (1997),
Vivo por Elena (1998) and
finally starring in
El niño que vino del mar (1999).
He has recorded three albums named "Pedacitos de Amor", "Creciendo Juntos" and "Si Tú Supieras" for Fonovisa. At this moment, he is promoting his last album and doing shows around the country. His last performance on Mexican TV was "Clase 406" as a guest appearance last July.
