Français : L’ancienne église de Mahalon appartenait à l’époque romane. Cette église fut en partie rebâtie en 1772 mais elle a conservé de nombreux éléments architecturaux mi-partie renaissance et gothique de sa construction originelle.
A l’intérieur, les colonnes de l’école de Pont-Croix sont tout à fait remarquables et remontent au XIIème siècle. L’église Saint-Magloire abrite un des premiers monuments funéraires de la Renaissance en Bretagne. Encastré dans le mur collatéral nord, un « enfeu » (niche) accueille le monument du XVIème siècle. Cet enfeu fut muré, sans doute pendant la Révolution et a été retrouvé tout à fait par hasard lors de travaux de restauration de l’église en 1911. |
