Notes | Staand rechthoekig portret van een man, voorstellende Adriaen Vroesen (circa 1611/1615-1669), koopman en onder meer luitenant van de schutterij in Rotterdam. Ten halve lijve, aanziend naar rechts, gekleed in fantasie-kostuum met baret en stok. Linksboven later bijgeschilderd opschrift en familiewapen, bestaande uit drie bijlen, waartussen zwaanskop op hals. Adriaen Vroesen was ook regent van het Heiligegeesthuis en is als zodanig eveneens afgebeeld op een groepsportret uit 1653 door Jan Daemen Cool (inventarisnummer 11089). In bruin gepolitoerde baklijst met gouden geornamenteerde binnenrand. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
