English: Birch-Hirschfeld (1871 - 1945) was famous Ophthalmologe at the University of Koenigsberg, Prussia. The picture shows, beside Birch-Hirschfelder, Prof. Wolfgang Hoffmann, first Director of the Clinc Westend during the foundation of the FU-Berlin (Free University of Berlin-West)
Deutsch: Arthur Birch-Hirschfeld (1871 - 1945) war der letzte Ordinarius für Augenheilkunde an der Universitätsfrauenklinik in Königsberg, der (neben Berlin) bedeutendsten und 1873 ersten Universitätsaugenklinik in Preußen. Der abgebildete OA Wolfgang Hoffmann (hint. Reihe 2.v.l.) wurde erster Direktor der Universitätsaugenklinik Westend an der Freien Universität Berlin. |
