Object history
Deutsch: Während die frühere Gemeinde Eberdingen in ihrem Wappen die von einem Eckstein des Rathauses aus dem Jahre 1567 übernommene Traube mit einer Rose aus dem Eberdinger Gerichtssiegel des 16. Jahrhunderts verbunden hatte, entschied sich die am 20. September 1975 aus der Vereinigung dreier Orte hervorgegangene neue Gemeinde für eine enge Anlehnung an das Wappen im Gerichtssiegel, dessen Schildbild sich vielleicht noch von der Rose im Wappen der ehemals ebersteinischen Ortsherrschaft herleitet. Die Verleihung des Wappens und der Flagge erfolgte am 10. Mai 1977 durch das Landratsamt Ludwigsburg.
